THE THINGS PEOPLE DO...I NEED TO VENT

Thank you once again my CS.com friends.

Fred, I just dont know if that kind of paperwork would go over well at an expo. A lot of people at the table and such, but you are giving me something to think about. I used to do a "Certificate of Birth" along with all their records of feed/shed/weights etc and a caresheet, but most people ready didnt care about it. I know I emailed you with all your information and I will always be available to my customers if they need me. Yet, as you can read, some people just will do what they want no matter what.

P.S. Any of my animals are welcome back if anyone can not care for them or keep them anymore. Kim and I have that agreement about "Zoe", my very first boa ever. I had raised her since she was 8 weeks old. Of course, I just can't be "purchasing" all my animals back!

But as most of you know, I care deeply about my animals and I take this hobby personally at times when I shouldnt.

PJ

I've only received paper work for one of my snakes thus far, it was for my ultramel that I got from Hot Jupiter Herps (Tbtusk). I really appreciated the effort put into the packet that came with her, it included records for eating, shedding, weight, birth date, etc... Plus a care sheet, and contact info. I thought it was a great idea, and it's the type of thing that would make me keep purchasing snakes from that breeder.
But I see where you (PJ) are coming from too. I liked the packet of info, but I'm already pretty organized, and diligent with caring for my snakes. A person who doesn't have the commitment might not even read it, and those who are committed enough to read it, would probably not be the type to run into problems. And if they should run into problems, they would have the initiative to call. All I'm saying is that the people who need the info of a packet the most, probably aren't the type to read it.
And with snakes producing so many more offspring than dogs, is it realistic to have people sign contracts? There's no way to keep track of all of those babies, all you can do is offer advice to a prospective buyer, after that they'll do as they please, regardless of what contract they sign.

PJ Im really sorry for what happened :(

Im new and I dont have a snake yet, but I start to love this site and the community because here you can find people that really love animals :)

oooo I forgot... people who are interesting in knowing how you care for an animal they will learn by them self. those who dont care will not read the information on a note (unfortunately), but are definitely the ones who will need more knowledge.
