For those of you sharp enough to spot the blood, it is mine and not the snakes. In a bit of carelessness he tagged me.

*sigh* I could use a snake bite about now. It would give me a reason to seek Medicinal Alcohol! Cool pix, Roland!

That bush snake is such a pretty green color! It matches the red beautifully! J/K! The cobra is beautiful as well but, boy, I wouldda been scared out of my mind!

LOL hope its from the Bush Snake and not from the cobra. ;)

Both amazing looking snakes. Thanks again for posting pictures.

Wonderful pictures! (even the bloody ones!) I really love the color on that bush snake, its sooo very green! Its head is really neat... maybe it was the way you were holding it but it reminded me more of the head on an anole then a snake!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanx everyone.

It was the Bushsnake that tagged me. I did learn a lesson however, just because a snake is harmless does not mean that we can get careless, just imagine if it had been the Cobra that tagged me.

No matter how many times I have rescued a venemous snake the adrenaline rush is always there, so much so that it is almost impossible to take Pics sometimes with the way my hands shake.

I am the Assistant Security Manager, but because of my passion for reptiles I have been appointed as the Reptile Rescuer.

This Estate is an Echo Estate with a Fenceline extending for 8km. We have various species of buck(deer), birds, small mammals and reptiles on the Estate.

I must admit to really enjoying my job.

It sounds dreamy. You're a fortunate fellow!

What can I say, you spend thirty years of your life slaving at jobs you really don't enjoy and then along comes the once in a lifetime opportunity.
I just had to grab it with both hands.
