Here you go..

3 tubs, 3 hides, 3 water bowls, 3 heating pads and there are 3 cardboard tubes for extra hides in their other tank..

They will be moved later this after noon when my boyfriend gets here - to help me with the wiring..

In the meantime I will be drilling holes into the tubs//

Will those work with the rack you're getting? Even if the shelves are big and you're putting bigger bins in the rack, you can always put those on an empty shelf, as is, to use for babies/yearlings later!

Make sure the long sides of the lids can't get pushed up- you might need those binder clip things for extra security.

Someone in the cornsnakes LJ community did a very clever thing for her tubs, she used adjustable luggage straps, like this: http://www.amazon.com/Samsonite-Luggage-Strap/dp/B000A8MG9A

That would probably work really well too, I plan on getting some. :) There's all kinds of pretty patterns and colours.
 
Those are nice. They would color-coordinate well, too! I'm just glad I live in the US where an inexpensive rack is only an e-mail away...

I'm sure I can get a rack to fit..

But this is proving to be a bit difficult - The wires arent long enough so its a bit of a mission to get to the tubs underneath..

I need shelves of some sort and longer wires. Sigh
 
If you have a sheet of wood you could sit the tubs on this until you get your rack. I know it doesnt look great but its just temporary. I'm not sure if this will work in with where your trying to put them but just an idea.

Thanks - I'm busy staring at the setup hoping an ide will pop into my head. Its not too much of a problem, but I keep spilling water when I move them!
 
Here another picture now that we have finished

They seem pretty settled - they are all in their hides.

I'm busy testing Levi's temps because he is in the middle - I'm worried it gets too warm . I have to get thermostat now I think. I added the wheels to each tub now so that some air can pass beneath each one..
 
Good for you to get them each their own tub. Since from your descriptions before they are small snakes I did want to agree with what Nanci said, be careful about the lids as little snakes are very good at escaping. Binder clips are a good suggestion.
 
Thanks - I noticed that myself but the bottom 2 are weighed down so its just the top I need to fix..

I have a question..

The cool side temps are too warm - 27.7 c.. I want to know if I can keep the heat mats off for a while until I track down a thermostat?

It is summer here and my room boils even with the fan on..
 
Really it's no different than a cage stack or rack where all but the bottom and top vivs have double heat. I'd also watch the top bin because I've found that whenever there are two stacked, the top one is always hotter.
 
What are your warm side temps? (With the heat).

In summer, here, my house temp is frequently 80-84, (26.6-28.8) with no way to get the snakes cooler because that's the best my AC can do. When my AC broke, I even had to move one snake into the shower, because it was cooler there, and I put ice in their water bowls.
 
Well my room is around 22 I think and it probably drops to 18 or 19 - maybe less because I leave the fan on.. I think my room gets to about 24 though when the sun hits in the afternoon..

I havent checked the warm side yet - I'll do that now..
