Just seeing if this is worth doing ... opinions welcome :)

How many of you UK guys would find a UK only subforum on this site useful? There are a few regional US forums that seem to be well used, so I'm just wondering if something for the increasing number of UK based posters might be useful too - might as well ask before I pay for it!
 
I think a UK forum would be nice but what would we put in it that could not be put in the main forum boards?

We don't really have many UK shows to announce, theres not enough of us concentrated in one area to organise big gettogethers etc... Are we allowed to post classified adds in sub forums? That may well work. Oh and local vet and exotic supplies listings.

I dunno, if you are willing to pay it is your perogative. And it is a lovely gesture :)

It's a nice idea in theory but would it be used to it's full potential?
 
I think it would be great, when people have ill snakes they can go to the section and find a local vet....find good shops tc etc. Yes brilliant idea

That is Nigels personal forum, I don't think it's meant for any UK member to use how they see fit. Just as lots of American breeders have their own personal forums that we should not just post anything in...
 
If the cost is too much I'll help out and I'm sure (well Im not that sure) that others will help out financially to the overall cost...It wouldn't be that much if we spread it out...
 
i dont mind people using mine for chatting, i havent done much with it recently to be honest... amd i cant sort my own website out as the guy who did it appears to have fallen off the planet..
just no advertising, unless someone wants to pay the fee for me.
 
Well, I needed to renew my membership anyway, so the UK forum will be go ... next time Rich gets online :cheers:
 
Great!

I get emails from Europeans and Canadians quite often - usually looking to buy corns. I usually tell them to come here and scroll down to the appropriate member forums. Then they can ask members about local suppliers. The new subforum will be a good place to send those inquiring from the UK.
