Update on Bella (Arabian Mare)

Jynx

Digger, RN
Bella is just about completely recovered. Over the last few weeks, she's becoming more of her spunky old self. It was really rough to watch her at first. She's normally a very playful and active mare, and it was obvious that the surgery was hard on her. This photo was taken last Sunday. I let her out into the paddock to stretch her legs, and stretch she did! Its been a while since I've seen her tail that high in the air!

Needless to say, I'm glad to have my old girl back. :)

My sister-in-law came over with the kids to do a bit of riding, and she is a professional photographer. She took a few pics of Bella & Smokey for me, which I haven't gotten yet. As soon as I do get them, I will post them.

Bella's filly, Hadiya (or BS as I so lovingly call her), is with her surrogate mom Lovely in Colorado. My mother decided that it was time to let Lovely become a real mom again, and since BS hasn't been weaned she made the trip with her. We've known the stallion's owners for quite some time though, and she is in good hands. I'll try to get some updated pics of her as well.

For those who haven't read about the tragedy Bella faced a few months back, you can read up here

Wonderful to hear she's made a full recovery. I love that photo of her and can't wait to see more. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Thanks guys! She sure is full of **** and vinegar these days, but to be honest I wouldn't have her any other way. If Bella is toned-down, there's normally something wrong. I'll try to get those pics ASAP :)

Here's one of the shots my sister in law took of Bella out prancing in the paddock. Wish she would just give me the rest of them, but she's apparently got professional "copyrightish" stuff to deal with and what not.

Lol I'm working on it. She was there mainly to do a photo shoot of mom's new stallion, Rufio (who is amazing, but a pain in arse), so he got all of the attention. I know she was walking around the grounds snapping randomly, so I'll see what else she got shots of. I know she said she has more shots of Bella, and an action sequence of Smokey but other than that I don't know what she shot.

In her defense she does some funky things to her pictures, which I love. That shot of Bella is about as untouched as her shots get. I'm not sure what it she does (something to back ground effects) but it highlights the horses wonderfully. I'll email her and have her send me something she's done in the past to give you an idea.

After bugging the heck out of her, here are a few more shots of Bella

See what I mean when I say she messes with the background? I think they came out awesome. The action sequence she got of Rufio is positively amazing. I could only wish to be that good one day. Perhaps that is why she is a professional, and I'm not?

Worth the wait indeed! Absolutely stunning photos of absoluely stunning horses! How do you ever do anything but stare at them in awe!
