Venus: '05 K. Love Okeetee

I didn't intend to post pics of her, but when I went to check on her tonight, she was just pulling her tail out of a fresh shed. So I really had no choice. She's about 14 months old, and around 180g. I suspect that she's het for sunkissed, so my '05 K. Love Sunkissed Okeetee will be her first suitor, in '08.

That snake is gorgeous, Dean; has a cute, curious look on her face too. She take well to handling?

-Sean

Wow.. mate thats one of the nicest Okeetee's Ive seen, such think black lines on her. Good luck with the breeding

She is getting fantastic coloring Dean! She's better looking than just about any other okeetee or abbotts I've seen yet!

Thanks for the nice comments. :)

Thanks Sean. Despite the fact that she's rarely handled outside of feeding days, she's pretty mellow. She had a little spunk when I first got her-- a little tail-rattling and head butting-- but even then, she never bit me. :)

Thanks Catherine! She really is a great example of the type. Kathy really knows what she's doing with Okeetees (and everything else). But I've seen a lot of other nice Okeetees too. Michelle/Devilznight has at least one that I'd love to steal from her. Russell has a few crazy ones, and the ones he hatched this year look like they will be insane. Some of the ones I've seen directly from Lee Abbott have been awesome too. But they don't put Venus to shame, or anything. And her coloration may not have peaked yet. :)

You forgot the last step!

She stunning Dean, and she sure does have an anti-motley pattern.

She's stunning.

LOL! She is just like my female okeetee, full of spunk, I take her out I get some tail rattling some head buts to the hand then she calms down, she's still like this and I handle her almost every day except for 72 hours after feeding that is.

I like her name, too. Great choice for a "Love" snake!

I begin to appreciate how you folks manage to accumulate so many snakes - every other photo on this board makes me want "one of those"!
