WalMart Aspen?

As far as bedding goes, the cheaper the better! Especially as your collection grows providing adequate substrate for everyone can really take a chunk out of your wallet. Go for it!

I get mine from Farm & Fleet for 5.00 and like is said the name of it is Kaytee and it is 20 liters and expands to 52 liters. I use to get it at petco. I can't remember how many liters it was but the bag was a lot smaller and I was paying 13.00 for it.
When I seen the bag at Farm & Fleet I thought it was a pretty good deal.

I just planted an Aspen grove in my backyard, built a kiln to dry it and have a kit for making a wood shredder, should save me a few bucks once production is up and running.

Thanks, Did I also mention I am learning to roll hot Dichroic Glass and I am making my own silicon seal from roots and berries so I can produce my own vivariums soon?

Seriously, I lived in Alma/Fairplay,Colorado for a few years at about 10,000 feet ( supposedly the highest city in the US.) and watching the Aspen turn colors in the fall is absolutely stunning...It looks like the mountains are on fire!!!They are also considered by some to be the worlds largest living organisms. They're connected underground by their root system and are genetically identical copies?
Don't even get me started about Bristlecone pines....

I have traveled to South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorada, Utah and back....and love the Aspens. I did not know that about them.
Bristlecone Pines are the ones that live for thousands of years, right?

didn't I say "don't get me started"? Alright ( sorry for the hijack) Yes there are some that have been core sampled to almost 4,000 years ago, wow! Up in the mountains people can be uhm strange would be the word, and some believe that they are the original gardens of extraterrestrials....Plus I knew a guy that carved ( dropped and dead branches...can't touch the living ones) them and their mineral content is so high they're like stone. Plus they really do have bristly cones...got a couple!

I get huge 2 cubic ft. bags (expands to 4 cubic ft.) of Aspen at Petsmart for $13 (Kaytee brand). Those huge bags help when you have lots of snakes. That's the best price I've found anywhere on Aspen.
Ditto here 1 bag goes a long way. I can change 35 32qt. tubs twice with one bag.

i use Premire Pet aspen...get it from the rodent section in PetCo. get the huge bags as i have 33 snakes and the big bags work better...though i might start getting my aspen from atwoods or TSC cause its most likely cheaper
