Water bowl bowels

it's funny I've herd that sometimes snakes poop in there water dish! Well my regular morph corn has done this about 8 to 10 poops in the water dish since mid January! Routine water changes daily haha

Make sure you clean the bowl with bleach or ammonia (not both!!!!!) if he poops in it.

You can also clean with regular soap and water, rinse, then disinfect with a diluted chlorhexidine solution

My gopher snake used to always poop in or around his water bowl.

Now he's taken to pooping under the 6 inches of aspen I give him on one side of his tank -_-

So now I get to sift through it all the time to find the poops, I'll take water bowl poo to this any day. lol

Many years ago, I sent Don a bunch of wild caught okeetees. There was one that always threw really yellow babies. I had them all named, but he assigned a numerical system to them. While trying to explain which one she was, it occurred to me -"she's the one who always poops in her water bowl." And he knew exactly which one!

I have several snakes that poop in the water bowls. After years of cleaning and disinfecting water bowls constantly, I started using disposable liners. With the number of animals I have, it's so much easier to use disposables. I re-use them for 3 water changes, then everyone gets a new bowl each week (or more often if they poop in it).

The 12oz bowls fit the Van Ness Crock Dish, #CS3.
