We adopted a new puppy!

We loss our last dog in Febuary 2010 and I decided it was time for a new dog and eventually convinced my mother. She acts like she doesn't want one but she does, I causght her looking on Petfinder lol. We found one we liked and we paid the adoption fee today and will get her either the 11th or 22nd, she is coming up from Alabama.

Here is our lovely new pup. She was born Feb. 3 so she is 4 months old today. I believe we are also changing her name to Lexie.

Congrats :) We are in a similar boat, having lost our dog to cancer last winter and acquiring a new girl just a week ago! I wish you much joy with your new friend :)

Thanks and congrats on your new girl!

I can't wait for her to get here, I have everything ready already lol.

She looks like a handful! In a good way of course.

You guys about 4 or 5 years too late, but there used to be a huge Corn breeder/ member here who bred Austrailian Shepards. They were Tri color and that beautiful Merle that your new girl is!

Ohhh here, I found their dog website at least.

Any kind of herding dog I know would be way too much energy for my style of life, but every time I look at these cute pictures my mind wanders!!

Have fun with you new baby!

Thanks, I really wanted an active dog cause my last dog didn't play and hated toys. I bought all kinds of toys for her and I am buying her an agility course to put in the back yard.

The Aussies on that website are goregous!

We picked her up today and she slept the whole way home. I am already in love with her. She is very attached to me and follows me every where. She gets upset if I leave so she's going to have to learn that I will come back. She has done excellent with going out to potty her foster mom had a doggy door we don't and she has great recall. She also already learned her new name, which is Lexie.

I was very happy I got to meet her siblings. They were all adopted by very nice people.

I love the markings on her fur! Do you think they will stay like that as she gets older? She looks so happy and at home already.

I think her markings will stay like that from what I've seen from other dogs like her.

She is doing very well, I thought since she left her siblings that she would be sad but she doesn't seem to be affected.
