Parkay had the best April Fool's joke this year. Lost her post-breeding weight, resumed normal behaviour and had me convinced she reabsorbed. She laid one fertile egg 24 hours ago and the rest of the clutch is following as I type. I'm stuck at work and Adam is texting me updates. Looks like a total of nine so far with one looking like a slug. I'll check them over when I get home, but the wait is driving me nuts!

We have 13 eggs in total, of which 4-5 appear to be slugs. They're a bit squishy - should I separate them from the rest of the mass? I'm used to crested eggs which are nice and easy to separate!
 
'Grats Wes :) If they can be separated I take them out. If they are connected I'd just leave them; I've had bad eggs covered in mold next to perfectly healthy hatching babies.
 
Two separated easy but I left the others. Parkay lost 90 grams and is exhausted. Going to see if she'll take a hopper for me. Adam wants this clutch to have baseball themed names; I was shot down with my suggestion of zombie movie heroes. :(

I think I'll get lynched or have to sleep on the couch for months if I suggest anything other than Red Sox players. I jokingly said the first one to hatch should be "Jeter" and was soundly beaten with a potholder.
