Weight gains!

It is amazing how fast they start gaining weight when fed regularly when they previously have been underfed... I weighed my Amel who I weighed 2 weeks ago. He wasn't skinny as in starved but he was a tad underweight and def small for his age... 2 weeks and three feedings later (Im feeding every 5-6 days) he has gained almost 60 grams, I did double check it cause I was surprised... but no... they really are resilient aren't they... My itties are gaining weight too... <3

60 grams in two weeks?!! How is that possible? I feed my guy every 5 days, he started out at 6 grams he's now 14. I've had him since the beginning of September.
 
This is a big guy... He is an adult but underfed... He wasn't skinny but on the slender side and short.. But yeah, I even tripled weighed him after this post cause I doubted my results but no.. that is his increase.. Now Im worried about him getting fat so Im going down to one a week now as opposed to every 5 6 days.. He just need to be fed regularly to gain to where he is supposed to be, with such a increase in weight he does not need extra food which I first though.. Lesson learned.. The amel is 3 years old and 4 inches short of three feet.. so yeah down to once a week for this guy.
 
It truly is awesome, isn't it? And to know you had a hand in nursing them back to health and a good weight is something to be proud of.

Although sometimes I wish all baby animals would stay baby-size for a lot longer!

It is, but I think I might just be making him fat here LOL I do love taking in the "unwanted" though... Red however is skinny, she will need some fattening, and apparently Im good at that..

I also do love that people in this forum do their own little corn rescues.. I've noticed with a lot of other breeds like boa:s people do not like to take in what they absolutely do not know.. with IBD around I can sort of understand that..

does corn have anything of that sort you have to be careful with? I got all mine in quarantine right now, I can't wait until they all can go into the same rack..
 
OMG I didn't see the baby bunnyuntil now... yes I do love babies.. but I love the grown ups... I think that is how I ended up with the butter male, he's discarded but he's normal.. I love the weight and the size and the calm slither around... Even though baby corns that are all eyes are awesomely fun to take pictures of. I have even more pictures i have not tortured you guys with...
 
Crypto is probably the biggest worry with corns, especially rescues or ones from pet stores. They can get it from Leopard geckos and sometimes the stores put the snakes into the enclosure that the geckos had been in and can transfer it that way.
 
Wow.. i was reading up on it.. what a scary disease...
I really shouldn't read on diseases.. I will now see all the sorts of signs in them lol
