Wet pinkie?

Is it okay to literally soak the pinkie in warm water to thaw, or is it better to put him in a ZIPLOCK bag then soak it?

Also, side-story.

I just recently perfected my 20gl tank. Fake plants/vines, great hides and climbing areas. I wish I had a pic to post.

Today I go to find petey, and i move a lot of aspen, cant find him
I slowly take things out one by one and check around them...nothin
Eventually, I take out everything except the leaf vine plant that is against the wall with suction cups...

I search through all the aspen, NOTHING!! I was sure that I escaped!

Couple minutes later, I spot him in the tiniest ball deep inside a cluttered part of the vine on the glass...

SCARY/FUNNY at the same time..

We just put our mice into the water to warm up and then feed them. Neither snake seems bothered by this; both eat very well. But I could be wrong as well on that, so maybe wait for someone with more feeding experience. :shrugs:

As for the side story.... I had that happen to me one with my hatchling, Mali. I dug around in the aspen and couldn't find her... I started freaking out and dug a bit more and there she was. It was incredibly freaky!

Haha alright ill wait for a second opinion..

Ya my snake knows how to hide I guess, at least he appreciates the stuff I bought him.

I thaw my mice directly in water. Until they are on adult mice, they get them wet. After that, the mice get a brisk rubbing with a paper towel to dry them a little.

Nope. Lots of people do it. It just kind of grosses me out, I guess! I like them to be fluffy! I guess I don't dry mice for the babies because I am slitting the mice, but I stop when they are on adults.
