What are corns ment to do in the day

They pretty much chill during the day, not usually emerging from a comfy hide until early/late evening to encircle the perimeter of their cage a few times...

Saying that, my Brooke has taken to coming out to bask in her repti-hammock thingy during the day though, i'm convinced she wants to see what im up to.... Or just catch a suntan!

Ah cool coz I have A huge bit of cork in tango and mangos viv and mango hides under it and tango curls up on it coz it's always warm lol I have a 5% uv light in there vivs and in the day when it's on they curl up on the wire so it's nice and warm lol

Usually my corns seem to sleep or hide during the day but the one or two days before a feed they are out and about off and on day and night. I do not blame them though, I'd be cruisin too if I was hungry lol! Oh and Cornsnakes do not need uv light as they mostly come out at night when uvs are not available naturally. There is a theory that they can actually harm the lighter colored corns.

Some snakes are active during the day, but most do their thing at night and in the evening.

Also, by your posts is it reasonable to assume you're keeping your corns in the same cage? It's recommended that you keep corn snakes separate, as they are not social and don't enjoy the company of other snakes. In fact, it stresses them out quite a bit.

Pepper, those posts don't anwer any questions being asked. So . . . how does that make this person qualified to be a mod? I could go around posting stuff like that too, should I be a mod? Not trying to start stuff but I just don't see the point of that persons posts here.

Cool thanks and I know they don't need uv light it's only a 5% but I use it for light. But I will be getting some Normal light bulb fittings and gards etc

I'm assuming Pepper feels the same way and is using a little known comedic device called "tongue in cheek" humor. :)

Y do people always fight on this [implied profanity] site it's not nice if you don't have any nice to say say nothing at all and I posted this coz I'm wondering what other snakes do ib the day etc etc

Members are concerned about your snakes because it sounds as if they are being housed in the same viv, which, while it may be fairly common in the UK, is frowned upon by most corn snake keepers here in the states because of all the dangers associated with it. Some members just have a little trouble expressing themselves so that they are understood. I have no excuse for some of the others. ;) Oh, and if you think this is fighting, you need to check out one of the political threads!

I have seen some of the other threads and it's pathetic soz bout spelling. And my corns are in a 2foot viv each so NOT TOGETHER.

if they are not in the same viv then they will have a hard time eating one another
btw ... who's fighting? (i think there was some UFC on last night)
and to answer the OP's question, I would like to quote napoleon dynamite
"Whatever they feel like, GOSH!"

It's people like you gelshark who start things by your Attitude I said nothing about eating snakes or other snakes eating each other. If your not going to Answer my questions properly don't Answer them at all please.

I think the comments were based on a genuine misunderstanding of your first post, Martyn.

As you'll see if you stick with us (and I hope you will) cohabiting is a ticklish subject round here. I don't think the humour has come across well as a result, but please bear with us. We mean well and our main concern can sometimes be for the welfare of the snakes rather than the finer feelings of the people we're speaking to.

It hasn't worked for any of us in this instance, but we really can be a source of useful info, which I hope you'll find out. When you're being misunderstood, I've found the best approach is to explain what has happened and clarify your original comment.
