Just got this young lady yesterday. She weights about 380 g. Her eyes are not red..this is only from the flash. What morph is she ?

PS. Sorry for the poor picture quality....didn't want to stress her out too much. ;)

Definitely a motley, but whether it is a normal or a hypo can be quite difficult to tell, especially since it IS a motley. Breeding trials will tell you for sure, but I'm leaning towards hypo motley because she has that overall brightness of a hypo and not the look of a light normal motley.

Thks for your guess.

The snake comes from a breeder and he told me it is a Hypo Motley, but he doesn't know the het(s). Actually the colours on the photos are not true. The red is a lot brighter and black is missing.

As I am new to breeding, what would be a good morph to breed with ? Any recommendations ? :eatsmiley

well, if you want something in the first generation, breeding to a hypo motley, hypo het motley, motley het hypo, or normal het hypo motley will allow you to test to see if it is hypo, as well as give you some motley animals.

If you want to test for any possible hets, amel and anery are the most common, so you could breed it to a snow or snow motley.

If you want to start a breeding project you could throw in whatever morphs you want and then breed the first generation offspring to eachother to see other morphs come up in the 2nd generation.

My vote would be to try and breed in a blood red or blood red motely or even a bloodred striped and the 2nd generation should come out with some nice bright hypo bloods.

Very good idea. I hope I can find a nice blood red male. This is my favorite morph.

Hypo motley. Actually a very pretty snake, Capt O.

I can send you the address to send that tablecloth, or whatever that cloth background is. Beautiful.
