What once was lost, HAS BEEN FOUND!

I'm so sorry I am not as hardy or whatever as you two. It tore me in half to have her gone like that. In the past I have lost others and NEVER found ANY of them. The home I lived in was torn down so now it is certain I will never find them. Yes a week is not very long but I traced her to outside, found poops and a shed stuck in a hole I had not known was there leading to outside where I found the other end sticking out the side of my house. So as far as I knew she was LONG gone. Please have a heart, some people are more sensative than that. . . my goodness . . .

I am not that hardy really. I have cried buckets over each of the ones I lost. I feel horrible that I put them in harms way like that, but I was not the only person she fooled...
One of the ones I lost was a butter stripe. I need his genes for future projects, and at one point I will need to either get another one, or an amber or caramel stripe. I am not even sure if I can because I will always see him. His name was Amadeus. He and the other 4 are probably dead now...

But on the other hand, after my 4 were taken and I knew they probably aren't coming back, I found a NEW appreication for my other ones. I would have Dimetri out and notice what a sweetheart he is to handle. At one point I was thinking of selling him...but not now. I notice how Myah the amber blood almost glows she is so golden. I notice how Jonas the cinder seems to enjoy just curling around my arm and chilling with me. And when Sundance the granite gets spazzy and rattles his tail, I just laugh because he is so cute. My heart hurts for who is gone, but then I look at who is still here and I am so happy to see them....

Death

Yes, in Angela's case highly respected and trusted member of the forum that we had all met irl offered to take a few of her snakes for her while she moved due to a job change.

Same person took 4 of mine on a temp breeding loan. Was on here every single day. Talked to all of us on a daily basis. Then one day did not come online. Does not return calls, nothing. Dropped off the face of the earth. Is unreachable. Fine one day, gone the next.

Maybe he died-people expire :crying:

I'm really glad you found her.

I must not have been keeping up with enough individual threads over the last half a year. How did you lose so many in such a short time?

Is the problem solved now?

Tanks. I stopped using tanks and for nearly a year no escapes, Jewel was the first to escape my tub system. I am very sorry for my hissy fit guys, I was freaked. My dad is dying, one of my real human kids disappeared for 20 minutes that day, I was on the verge of a break down requiring a padded room I tell you what.

When I posted them for sale I was sitting there wanting EVERYTHING to go away and leave me in a dark quiet room to pass away. It was bad. DH almost took me to the hospitol. Stupid store was out of plywood so the shelved have to wait. Instead I stacked all the tubs and have 4 600+ page college textbooks on top. NO snake will escape while awaiting my awesome (or hope it will be) shelf system lol.

I am in deep thought as to continue or sell any or what. I figure I will have a firm grasp by September. My husband says he wants to get me a pet that is NOT known for escapes to focus and form a big bond with so it won't be so rough with the snakes. Any ideas? I am currently trying to focus my intense bonding on a teddy bear but it just sits there lol.

Well, I have had my dragon escape twice and both times it was HELL trying to find her! Because lizards just go hide and get cold and then don't move...At least with a snake you have a chance!

Once you see the hatchlings- doomed! They are soooo cute!!

Yes I am doomed. I caught myself eyeballing one of my girls then looking at the male I had planned to use with her next year and wondering if i would get a butter stripe. . .Then I told myself not to think like that just yet sigh. I am addicted. . .I need CS Anon. LOL. . .You had a beardie escape? That is a first for me to hear . . .oh boy . . .my nerves lol (we need a smilie of a frustrated person pulling hair out lol) Maybe I should just rig the teddy bear to dance in response to my voice? LOL

I did not mean to give you a hard time. I just had trouble understanding where you were coming from.

Nah, I'm not wired too well to understand emails can't hollar at me or come across well as curious or sarcastic. Deffinitely born in the wrong era here lol. I have litterally been afraid to open emails sitting there for an hour sometimes before openning one after doing the face-palm "whats it gonna do bite?" I may be wierd but my critters are well cared for I assure you. Trust while I may have felt hasseled at the time I get ya now.

Like a Harry Potter "howler" right?

I know the girl you lost was special, and I am really really glad you found her.
