What thermostat do you recommend?

Most thermostats, herpstat included can handle 3 heaters at a time. The herpstat pro can handle 3 heat sources and run each one seperately if you need that. The BAH thermostat that I paid $40 for runs three as well, but is an on/off which is fine for the corns.

I'm currently using Ranco's. I use 1 Ranco per 5 enclosures. My adult venomous and non-venomous snakes are housed in Animal Plastics 36x24x12 T3 enclosures.

Herpstats, Helix, Ranco, Johnson Controls, are all great. I do keep a few BAH-1000's around as backups/or temporary setups.

When I was ordering stuff for my snake [wont get her until next wednesday, the 21st], I didn't even think about getting a thermostat... I got a thermometer to measure the temps on each side. I've got everything all hooked up now, with the probe on the substrate in the middle of the warm side, and the temperature there is reading 88-89 degrees :( On the cool side it's about 73.

The problem here is that I only have about 68 cents in my bank account, and wont have enough money to get a thermostat for about 3 weeks... I'm just worried that it will stay too warm on that side... and since I work all day, if I unplug it I don't want it to get too cold for the snake either. I didn't have this problem 3yrs ago with my other snake... So I was thinking about just leaving it for this week to see if it evens out at all... If not I'm not sure what I'm going to do until I get enough cash for a thermostat =/

So Frootloop, what does the temp measure down on the glass over the heat mat? They can and will get to 120F easily. Your best bet is to get a piece of floor tile to cover it up until you can afford the thermostat.
