what's a chocolate corn?

I was looking at available snakes on the web site of a breeder who advertises here and saw corn snakes labeled chocolate and hypo chocolate... very pretty hatchlings, but no description of them. What is this chocolate morph? The hatchlings look a little like the Java corn I've seen pics of here, but also like an emory hybrid.

Does anyone have pics of a subadult/adult?

I sent them an email, but haven't heard back yet.

Can you post a link to the breeders website? It'd be a lot easier if we could see. But I'm going to agree, and say it's most likely a corn x Emoryi intergrade.

crackerhead's partners produce these, and they are stunning. Hopefully she'll see this, or you could ask her via pm.

I don't have an answer to your question but wanted to say I just grabbed an opal stripe and an anery lav from them about one hour ago. They are about four miles away from my work, I had no idea they even existed. My first dealings with them, great and friendly service.

There's a great picture of a really dark brown ?Emory in Kathy Love's book. So far, in all my surfing, I haven't seen any really brown corn snakes until I ran across this thread. I wonder if Emory plays a role in these snakes.

I find them really attractive but don't want to include Emory genes in my collection at this point.

I am not 100% sure but I think the snakes in the links above are the snakes Crackerhead labled "chocolate okeetees". If these are the same snakes, then they originated from Rob and Louise at Bayou as a "by-product" snake.

Don at South Mountain said he produces a few that look like this (corns in the links) each year also. Neat animals but I don't think "chocolate" will be very applicable once they are adults. The brown will likely lighten up, but that is just my thoughts, not worth much.

I have attached a pic of one of my chocolate emoryi, definite difference than the ones in the links. These emoryi are truly a chocolate snake, very cool.

Nice! Will you be producing these? If so, I want on the list, as Don no longer has the Chocolate Emoryi's. They are one of the last remaining snakes on my "want list". Not to take this off topic any further, you can PM me...
