What's the biggest snake you own?

SnakeNbake

Cuz that's how I roll!
I just realized how many good jokes could come from the title of this thread. Must....resist. :p

So what's the biggest snake you own and what kind of snake is it? Mine is Sir Killsalot (corn). I'd tell you how big he is but measuring him would require me to pick him up and I don't want to do that until I update my last will and testament.

Here he is eating a bus full of school children...

All 3 of my snakes are '06 hatchlings, so they are all relatively small, right now. Luna, the MBK, is about 17" and 31 grams. Sammi Snake, the corn, is about 19" and 32 grams. Soleil, the Florida King, is about 23" and 47 grams.

Mine is a corn snake at the moment. My carpet pyhon will have caught up in a few months, though! :)

Oh wow! That carpet python looks awesome! How big do those snakes get? Do they get too big and heavy to hold? Pardon my dumb questions. I've just begun learning about snakes. :p

An 11ft 50lb albino burm is the biggest, followed by a 7ft retic, a 6 foot boa, and two 6ft cave dwelling ratsnakes. The bredls python will be up there when he grows up too.

Depending on the species, carpets average between 5-8 feet, bot very heavy bodied as compared to boas the same size.

The biggest I have right now in comparison to her age is sweetpea - shes 5 months old - 3ft+ I cant wait till shes a 7ft monster adult.

Apart from her Panther would be my longest. 4ft+ coral snow. Scarlett (proven sunglow motley female) was a bit over 5ft.

I have owned common BCI's in the past - Females! :devil01: And have dabbled in dwarf pastels. Im hoping to aquire a pair of Hog islands this spring.

I haven't seen my biggest snake, yet...I'm still waiting for his custom cage to be built. I bought him a large water dish last week, though- the size is kind of shocking. And I bought his thermostat today. They say he is 48", 800 grams. He's so big his shipping price is more than two times his purchase price!!

6 footers no problem, 8ft+ and you need someone else there, if not to help hold then for safety precautions.

Picture of one of my yearling common girlies. 5ft+
Shes still got a long way to go... (pictures are a few months old)

Well shes an 05... I still consider 05's yearlings LOL

I just adore big snakes. I'd never have a single male KSB or hoggie... :shrugs: Females are small enough :p

I'm with you, Nanci. I like my snakes to be shorter than me. I'm 6'2", so that is plenty of snake for me. Anything that can view my daughter or myself as potential prey can stay out of my house, as far as I'm concerned.

Don't get me wrong...big snakes are awesome, in every sense of the word, and they are extremely beautiful. But I know my limits...and most pythons and boas are outside of those limits.

my biggest snake right now is my female Dumeril's Ground Boa...right now shes only 3 1/2 to 4ft long but thats already bigger then all my other snakes cause my ball python is only 2ft long and all my colubrids are under that. Divana(my's dumeril's) will average out at 6 to 7 feet but there have been cases of them getting 8 to 9 feet in length so she could end up being 7ft or even ending up 9ft....that wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't such a heavy bodied snake...when she's full grown she could weigh any where from 15 to 25 pounds! But i love her so i don't mind.

I forgot to mention the biggest that i've ever owned. She was a 13' burmese python and as tame as a lamb.

Currently...

a Sunglow Corn on the edge of 4ft. Ever... I briefly kept a Coachwhip at 7'9". Caught and released an Indigo well over 7, two Yellow Rats at 7'2" a piece, and one Eastern Diamondback at 5'10".

Proud of me I resisted the joke? :bang:
