which side goes up?

i just got a heating pad and im not sure what side faces up (on the glass) and what side faces down please hellp im putting two pictures up which one goes on the glass and which one doesnt

All I have ever used are the ReptiTherm mats so I'm not sure by the pictures. There should be a sticky side though and that would go up. Otherwise I would guess the side without the sticker would be the one that goes up as the sticker would block some heat. :)
 
I personally don't use the sticky side of my heat pads since it helps when I have to clean and what not. I also don't feel that it matters what side goes up if you don't use the stick side.
 
I use a ReptiTherm UTH, and the sticky side goes up, so I'm guessing that you should put the sticky side up.
