I can, Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, Van Buren..., Reagan. And it pretty much stops there. Of course, there are the obvious few in that ... zone that should be excluded.
Care to back that up with specific examples? I'd be interested in seeing which of these rich, aristocratic, slave-owning, entrepeneuriakl business-owning politicians NEVER took advantage of an opportunity to shine. I would like a sp3ecific situation, well-documented, where each of those past presidents was offered an opportunity for a Positive Public Relations Field Day, and they turned it down in favor of honesty and integrity. Specific examples for EACH person you mentioned please.
And don't just give me "It wasn't their character" unless you personally met them and hung out with, and KNOW their character to the point which you can accurately state that.
Before you answer...try to remember that our "history" is a story...a tall tale of brave men who fought rugged natives and tyrranical governments to escape persecution and establish a New World. You are, of course, well aware of the fact that this is not remotely what our actual history was like...right?
I know...Washington had his cherry tree. And Reagan had the Psychic Friends Network. Go figure...:nope:
