Hi all I want to know when a snake eyes goes back to normal after being blue is it normal for then to still not want to eat?. My first corn snake eyes are back to normal but has not start to shed his skin yet. :)

isn't it cute? I love it!

I meant to ask you Kathy, I gave Khol 2 doses of nutribac, it was over 2 weeks by the time I ordered, got it, gave him 2 doses. Fed him 1 pink last night. I'm going to keep Nutribac in his water for a week or so -- would you recommend that?

No. NB goes bad in water within about 24 hours, so you would have to be changing the water (and NB) every day - very wasteful. If you must give it in water (I prefer tubing or on food), then withhold water for a day, give for a day, withhold for a day, etc. Then he will be thirsty enough to drink plenty of water and NB when offered. And you will have to throw it away only half as often, although it is still pretty wasteful.

Sorry to hijack your thread, Holly. But since the question is a popular one, I thought I might as well answer here instead of in a pm - the info might be useful to somebody else, too.

I gave Amethyst (the petco snow) a pink head that was even slit too and rolled in nurtibac the other day, and.. I found poop today! No regurge :) I'm glad she kept a meal down. I gave her the nutribac in the water (changing daily) until feeding, and then I started giving her normal water. Hope she keeps down the other half of the pinkie on Wednesday :) I want her to get better because she is so sweet and it's difficult for me to resist play time. She reminds me so much of my first corn snake in temperament.

Sorry to hijack your thread some more Holly-
I did as Kathy suggests, but I reduce the size of the vessel in which water is offered to a very very small container, such as a PVC pipe endcap, one with a flat bottom, so it won't tip over...this saves the amount of Nutriback that is used in the water, so it's still a strong amount of it per the ratio of water.

Hey I don't mind my thread being hijack why would I care? if you have something you want or need answers too then by all means ask it even it is not me your asking. I don't mind I'm just that kind of person so no need to apologize. ;)

Well Ouch, that hurt. I need some ice, to put on my feelings. And a maintenance request form. To get a hug. Delivered. With a cherry on top.

LOL um I'm not understanding here no need for your feelings to be hurt I'm saying I don't mind why are your feelings hurt?.

I'm sure he was kidding too!

I put regular water back in Khols dish. He was out and about tonight playing on the latches, I will check thoroughly tomorrow for any regurge although I think it's ok - it smelled ok. Thought I'd look tomorrow when it's light.

I feel safer if I keep using it so I might find a tiny container for his water. I would feel better about it.

It has been now 4 days now he still has not shed and is not eating I'm getting very worried how much longer will it be?.
