view the poll 2,3, 10+ times to check the results and each view moves the counter up.
Add another vote for my wife since she is the official owner of one of our corns and I cannot vote twice.

Female, and I love spiders...

... but I love snakes more!!!:D

3 corns, 1 hognose, 1 rosy boa and 1 common boa!!! Yay!

Actually, I suppose I need to add an unofficial vote for my boyfriend too...

Ok, male here with a bunch of snakes. Although most of them are Simon's which will be headed to Canada in a few more weeks after I get in his next shipment(s). I have 6 corns of my own, a ball, 1.1 red blood pythons, and 1.2 albino nelsons milksnakes. I forget what else I currently am "snake sitting" for Simon, but I know there are a few and more and more keep getting added. I'm going to have to get a bigger truck to get all these over to you Simon;) See you in a few weeks buddy....

Ryan,
To be honest I loose track of all the snakes I get for Simon. It is very expensive to have snakes shipped into Canada, from what I hear. Simon gets his stuff sent to me, after I get a truck full I drive them over. Crossing the border isn't a big deal, they just want to know how many there are what species and how much they are worth. After about 10 minutes at border patroll I am on my way to drop them off. I know Simon also get his stuff sent to another US contact, that does the same thing for him. Plus I enjoy the drive and talking to Simon is a great way to spend a day. plus I get to see all of his snakes. Which he has WAY too many!!And I can't bring anything into Canada that is on the CITES list. Luckily corns are not on that list. And that is why i do it.

What

Species is your Tarantula? I ask because most species of Tarantulas only affect a adult human if that human is allergic to things like bee stings as well. And often it just hurts a bit but doesn't cause any major swelling (like an entire arm)

Although some species do have much more potent than common venom and I am sure even with the less potent varieties you have variation between symptoms. But I have never heard of something like that! :) So what is he?

I keep
1.0 Salmon Birdeater
0.1 Bolivian Salmon Pink

Both will be huge with the birdeater possibly reaching 10 or more inches, but neither give a seriously potent bite as I have researched. Although there is plently of pain to be had when a 10 inch spider bites you anyways. lol

I have 4 snakes and 2 gekkos and I'm not too keen on spiders (too many legs!) but I can handle them. I prefer the bigger ones so you can see where they are and they cant crawl into little hiding places!

Yeah, I was also wondering what species your tarantula is MentalMenace because I've always been told that they can't do serious damage to adults. One of the kids that came to our University 'petting zoo' day got a slight rash after handling the tarantula (I think that was the hairs from the spider) but that was it. Is it the bite of your one that is venemous?

i have a curly haird male tarantula.

being a male he ownly lives a year so he can pass any day now :( and its true that most tarantulas are ownly as bad as a bad bee sting but this little guys venom is more potent(so ive herd) im olso 14 so it will affect me more than an adalt. im not shure its true about the swelling up but i have seen someoe that was bitten buy a tarantula in its larvel stage and his hand looked like a blown up rubber glove  but he has never bit me and i hope he never will. he can olso shoot the hairs that are on his bu and that he has done and it felt horrible like a fiber glas rash or a bad nettle sting.if you have any more quesstions feel free to ask.

Whoa! Don't do that! Just kidding, I usually don't like spiders but your tarantula is really nice! But maybe we should go back on to cornsnakes, or rich will say something.
