Whatever. I'm not going to debate it. I just don't want to see the animals get hurt.
I CAN indeed see where the problem is here, and in fact i personally agree with what some people are saying, however give the kid a break, if his sister has in fact done the research, and know's what she's getting into, and fully completely understands -- As nitelion said. what does it matter? He appears to only be involved for financial purposes and bonding with the cute little things, just leave it at that, and if not and things go terribly wrong, well he has noone but himself to blame.
Hi Nitelion,
First off, congratulations! Sugar gliders are wonderful pets so long as you can give them the time and attention they need. They're adorable, enchanting, very affectionate and if you get a male and a female the joeys are absolutely adorable. Here are a couple of pictures of my pair and the pair of joeys they had before I had the mate neutered. I highly recommend you have any males neutered, it really helps with the smell and in my experience they don't lose any of their energy or personality. I'm sure you and your sister have done extensive research but I want to make sure to warn you that they smell terrible if you don't clean the cage daily and can be very very loud. Its incredible the amount of noise that can come out of such a small creature when they bark and crab.
Also, a tip to help cut down on mess. Cut panes of plexiglass to attach to the outside of the bars of their cage. Sugar gliders tend to throw bits of food everywhere and if you do this it contains the mess inside of the cage without making the bards unusable for climbing. You'll have to take the plexiglass off about once a week to clean it, but its much much easier.
Keep them with you all of the time and they'll bond to you quickly. Feel free to ask if you have any questions and enjoy!

Gosh you people are really being mean....well at least David is, Hallie at least spoke like she was trying to give advice.
That's what I'm thinking. This is ridiculous and bordering trolling. If this was on a forum that I was admin/mod on David would have already had a good kick to the butt.
Personally I think he jumps to animal to animal to quickly it's about every other week we're hearing about something else he wants to get... I think you should also research the animals too with your sister. Don't you want to know anything about them so you can help as well, don't make her do all the work.
I think that we should be allowed to criticize, nicely. I mean after all people here do it all the time, and its not always nicely!
I personally think that my statement wasn't rude either, I'm saying he should research them also, I'm sure they're interesting.
Was any of the crap that I went through when I was like this kid reported? I bet 90% of it wasn't. So all I am saying is it seem to be a bit unfair.
