Yellow factor?

Over on another classifieds site, I saw a cornsnake advertised as 'Yellow Factor' I think this is the first I've heard of this. I have heard of Red Coat, and Red Factor before, but not this, what is it?

Can anyone tell me more about this? Is this a single gene (recessive or dominant) or something you selectively breed for like Candycane (amels selectively bred to increase red and decrease yellow)?

Can anyone point me at some pictures?

If this should be posted elsewhere, I appolgize and can a moderator move it or let me know?

Thank you
NG

Yellow factor and yellow jacket are a lot like redcoat... You would be best to talk to Donovan (snakepunk) about it.. I think he is really one of the only people I know who are working with it or are knowledgable about it.

2012 I hatched out a few nice bright Gold Dust and Butters from a Ultramel het Caramel X Butter pairing. Some of the hatchlings were typical looking Gold Dusts and Butters and only a couple were "brighter". I'm not sure if its yellow jacket or if some of the Butters and Gold Dusts are carrying the Hypo gene as well? I did hold back two of the nicer Gold Dust and I have plans to breed them next season to see if I can get even more yellow in the hatchlings. I have been calling mine High Yellows.

Comparison after hatching.

Comparison pics after a couple sheds.

Here is a recent pic of the female hold back. The male is even brighter. I find it difficult to photograph their true colors though.

wow, all of those hatchlings in the first pic are Gold Dusts or Butters? That is amazing, each one is a different shade of yellow/brown. So is the darkest one there a gold dust too?
Ultra is the hypo-ish effect, that leaves the tiny ticks of black, right? The pictures I've seen have a sort of flourescent/almsot glowy look to them.

Lava caramel. The holdback golddust just has that pretty "soft" look that lava gives. Mitchell Mulks has a gorgeous line of topaz and this girl reminds me of them. She's awesome!

The first pic has one Butter, Ultramel, and the bottom 2 are Gold Dust. The same thing was also going on in the Butters too.
