Rather than intentionally bel-air you, I'll just say it's when you click on a link that you think will take you somewhere you want to go, but instead it takes you to the video of the fresh prince of bel-air.
There's now COMBINATIONS, like being bel-air rolled, etc.

I gotta tell you there are HORRIBLE images and YTMND out there for Hasslehoff. Don't underestimate the Hasslehoff! The video is not the worst of it.

Being an avid Fresh Prince watcher as a youngin, I can repeat that theme song verbatim, and I often do just for the hell of it. I hate being Rick Rolled though... it gets annoying. I haven't been Hassle Hoffed yet, though I'd imagine that would make me chuckle.

On an off note, I just got Apple Bottom Rolled....?
 
That was prolly a long time ago, if I had to guess.
It's remarkably effective at irritating me, as I have a little rule I adopted, rickroll=no more youtube for the day. After a 2nd or 3rd rickroll, I don't think I could legally be held accountable for my actions.
I'm pretty careful, but I got rickrolled. Me. Today. Pfff.
 
We were "Chocolate Rain"-rolling on another forum for a while. Then we'd "Vanilla Snow" roll 'em after promising it wasn't Chocolate Rain. That got old fast, since I seemed to fall for it every time.
