Zaida the Amel - (tail shot, any takers for guessing the sex?)

Here are a few pics of my Zaida. :D I've had her for almost two years now from a little baby snake. She is my first "snake". The best pet I've ever had.

And..the tail shot.

(note - I use the word "she" very loosely. XD)

Zaida is also a "belly dance" snake. She is used by my mate in her belly dance shows, and does a wonderful job. I never imagined a snake to adore attention so much, but she certainly seems to! She is very calm for anyone who comes to see her and pet her after the show, and has came to be a wonderful representative of snakes in general.

It's tough to tell just by looks, but if I were guessing, I'd say female....simply because a male usually has much more of a gradual taper from the cloaca to the tip of the tail. Your snake has basically no taper...it's just cloaca and BAM...tail. :)

I would guess she is a boy! But I'm not sure. Have you got a picture showing the underside of her tail? That would help me.

No actually, she looks female...? I dunno! It's hard, because I can't judge the size of the snake. She does have quite a tapering tail.....
