Zero the Blizzard Progression

Sekani

Officially Corn Obsessed
Name: Zero
Morph: Blizzard
Age: 2-3 years
Weight: Supposedly 494g

We're very happy campers with our second corn snake (at last). I think I've wanted another corn since I got Onyx!

So everyone, let me introduce Zero who was fed for the first time with us just yesterday! He's still settling so don't have any good pics yet.

Eating yday, he has an excellent, kinda scary feeding response:

I'll be moving him over to aspen after a couple of weeks because I'm afraid the newspaper is gunna stain his lovely white body!

Does anyone know of any good dark substrates that will show his colour? I think he's gunna disappear into the aspen!

I <3 him :) he's such a cutie!

I think a lot of people on here use Eco Earth and that's nice and dark. Some people also use Carefresh which comes in a nice variety of colors but I hear it holds a lot of moisture, not sure though.

But that Blizzard is just amazing! I'm not even a fan of white snakes but I love when they're so crisp and practically perfectly white.

He really is beautiful in person, it seems he has a pinky hue to him but it could just be my imagination!
He has a darkish patch on his head, you can kinda see it in one of those pics, is that normal or blizzards? Do you think itll go away?

The muscle definition on Zero really does add to his presence. Love that last pic with the partial open mouth.

Did you name him after the dog on Nightmare Before Christmas? Just curious as my wife is a nut for that movie.

Thanks! Yeah I actually really like the eco earth look! And I think I'll stay away from anything that holds moisture because its always pretty wet here!

Forgot there was a dog called Zero in that film! Love NBC! But no, I just thought of it because it fits his look! I did here the name from somewhere though that could of been it! :)

Wow, gorgeous. Simply stunning.

Thanks so much :) We love him so much I don't think we'll be getting another one for a while!

Update on Zero :) Switched him over to eco earth, I now have him on half paper towels and half eco earth. I dried it out in a tub for about a week so its lovely and dry now. I put it in at first and the whole tank fogged up. All good now though :D

Thanks! That box is actually too small for him now and I'm having trouble finding a bigger plastic tub...
