Zoo Med Reptitemp 500R Thermometer Sensor Help?

So I've heard that this is the best thermostat to get. The thing is, that I can't find any at any of the pet stores in my home town. I was just wondering, where do you guys get yours? If any of you are from Edmonton, Alberta, I'd like some help and figuring out where to get mine! Thanks!

I have two. But they are not the best out there, are the "best" quality for the price and use of a single cage (viv).
Now the second one I bought was from my local pet store who didn't have them in stock or knew the brand but after I told them of the model they were happy to order it for me. So just go back and see if the can order it for you.

Alright, thanks very much!

Yeah, they're not the best, but they work OK. I used to use them and never had any problems. But I've switched to Herpstats and haven't looked back.

Try looking online for them; they can be had here in the US for ~$20 plus shipping. Most petstores sell them for around $60-80 that I've seen. Maybe there's a place that is in Canada or can ship there that you could get them for cheap.

Petco used to carry them for $39.99 but stopped selling them a year or so back.

Best deal, as already mentioned, is $20 or so plus shipping ordering online.

You will still need a digital thermometer with a probe as the lower end thermostats don't have a thermometer function included.

i have been using mine for a couple of months and have had no problems with it as of yet -knock on wood-. it did take me a few trys to get it set up at the right temp but after that all i do i take a quick peek at my digi thermometers to make sure its at the right temps.
since they are so expensive at the pets stores here, i ended up ordering mine from pets and ponds

its an alright deal and if you add one more thing to buy the shipping goes down to 8.99 (goes down if you spend $40)since it canadian it is still less than a lot of places shipping from the usa
