Taste the Rainbow
Made a new friend today through Kyle (aka ForkedTung) on this site. He showed me around and I had such a good time I thought I would share some photos.

Some baby rats and momma rat from a breeding colony.

A hypo male boa. His colors were amazing but I washed them out with my stupid flash. :(

A (I believe) hypo female with an albino male boa.

One of his new animals, a female motley boa. She was super aggressive but he is working with her. That's why he's wearing gloves.

Her striking and hissing made it hard to capture a good picture of her face.

Her again.

One of my favorites I saw, an albino ball python. I want one someday.

Adult male normal corn.

His creamsicle female corn. She's pregnant and in blue. Her colors were still really pretty. Again washed out by bad lighting but I still want to share.

And my last favorite, a female Lavender Motley het Hypo.

Last pic, his (I believe) 11 foot female normal boa. I tried taking a pic of her through the glass tank wall but it was kinda reflective. Here she is anyways.

That boa looks very happy too see you lol and that bumble bee is goregous!
Kyle are those blue rat babies! Shame you don't live closer, I've been looking for them.

Some ncie snakes but those cages look filthy!

Perhaps she just caught the guy on an 'off day'. I know I keep my viv's spotless 95% of the time...and then there are times like yesterday when I see the poop as I'm on my way out to work...as in the taxi waiting, door lock in hand...and it just has to wait for a little while. Although I did have the same thought myself.
I'm more inclined to give benefit of the doubt, as the animals were beautiful! Dude must be doing something right...right?

Some ncie snakes but those cages look filthy!

Never thought I'd agree with you, but there are times when you need someone to point out the obvious (that we're all ignoring)! :p

Those cages look bad, and not just a forgot-to-clean-for-a-day kind of dirty.

Here's how it goes. I was told about Dennis through Kyle. So, it's like Bree (me) -> Kyle -> Dennis. I personally don't know Dennis, but he is very nice. Lol. :)

Yes, those are blue rats. I believe he breeds and sells them as pets. They aren't for feeding.

And on the sanitation issue: I will be honest and say I definitely wasn't pleased with the level of cleanliness he had, but I will try to give the benefit of the doubt. He told me while I was there that he just finished building a shed in the back yard to move all his animals into, so I'm going to be positive and assume that he will be putting them into clean, new homes. And, by looking at all his animals I saw, he takes really good care of them and knows what's the right things are to do.

He also has a boa that had its neck broken as a baby and he was working to rehabilitate it because it kinked backwards and couldn't see straight. It was a gorgeous baby. He seems really passionate about his animals and that's something I can relate to. So, I try to look past the sanitation and give him the benefit that he could possibly be really busy and will get the cages cleaned in the next day or whatever.

Indeed. Sometimes it gets away from you a little (boy does my cat box smell...gonna go do that), but as long as its not a regular thing...well. If it was a regular thing, his animals wouldnt be healthy or happy so really the proof is in the puddin'. Since you know him Bree, you'll know the next time you visit. :)

So we can say that "Dennis" is not a member here?

I am not saying anything either way.

Just definately NOT like my snake room.

Ask Betsy, Amanda, Turner, Jasin, Jen (from Maine) and a few others, I am sure they wont hesitate to let you know how our things look.

Love the Albino Balls! If I ever have the chance to have one, it would be an albino just as a pet. They are beautiful and my eyes and mind just cant understand that yellow and white on a real living animal!

No, Dennis is not a member on here. And I will definitely see whenever the next time I visit is if things are different. Like I said, he was in the middle of a major move so I don't want to narc on him. Also, I feel like if he had yucky cages for a long time that his animals would have been sick or something.. and they most definitely aren't. I can attest to that. Each one of his animals were spic and span. That's why when I saw their habitats I was shocked, but I didn't say anything and be rude. Each and every animal was perfect, from the mice to rats to snakes to dogs. He has a real passion, just like many people I see on here.
