He won't be home for another week or so, but I got some pictures of him to tide us over.

He arrived in the store on 10/27/09 as a baby and has eaten willingly 3 times since then. I've been syringe-feeding him off and on just to keep him going. He's shed twice.

He needs a name. Right now we call him Crazysnake because he's a bit spastic... if he doesn't get a suitable name soon, he'll be called Herman (after Herman the Worm, from the kids' song)

I have no clue what it is. I'm new to corns!

I was hoping someone would reply with "that's an awesome (insert type)" and then i could act like i knew all along :D

It's a motley for sure. That's a pattern morph. Then I think it's a normal or classic in color.

it arrived in the store labeled as a "fancy corn" so your guess is as good as mine!

he's definitely a unique creature in all aspects... i've got my work cut out for me :)

what did you feed him with in the syringe? I have a snopal that refuses to eat I have been force feeding him but it is hard.
Thanks,
marsha

Right now he's eating prescription A/D dog food. I'm on the hunt for a pinkie pump though.

If its a motley it will have a clear belly... Looks like one to me... A classic motley.. Pretty little guy.. Good luck with him :)

Thanks! I'll look at his belly tomorrow. If I remember, I'm going to bring my scale and get a weight as well.

Now if i could only remember the name of the program I used to use to track feeding/weight/etc in the past...

hahahahaha That's an awesome Normal Motley!! ;) Great dorsal pattern, I hope you can get him to eat. He actually reminds me a lot of my first Motley.. LOVE that pattern, it's so beautiful, and fun to watch change as they grow. Oh, and here's my vote in for Herman. Very cute!

Here's a link to the tried and true Munson Plan, which is pretty popular around here.. ;)

Very nice snake. I am going to put this out to the universe :sidestep: I would strongly suggest live pinki or fresh killed, before I would stress with continued tube feedings. It just seems worth a try and many breeders accept this before force feeding.

Once I get him home, i'm going to try and find a live pinkie. That seems to be the next logical step.

How long should I let him get away with not-eating before I try a live or go back to syringe? Or should I just do a regular weekly feeding on schedule? He's only 8g right now.

It's clear.... except he has two little grey squares one maybe a little past half-way and one about 3/4s down his body. Is he still a motley? :p

Anything that is not a normal, amel or anery at a pet store is classified as "fancy" lol Looks like a Normal (q-tip) motley to me. Q-tip referring to the places where the spots connect by a line that results in a q-tip looking spot. And the white belly confirms he is motley. Beautiful little guy :D I hope he thrives in your care.

What about spots on belly and open saddles??? just curious no expert here.

I have heard people suggest putting a pinkie in a blender and then saringe feeding it? You could give that a try. I do not know the answer to your morph questions!
