Does anyone with with Terrazzos any more? They don't seem that popular. How come??

Been trying to find pictures of an adult blood red terrazzo but no luck. No luck with finding sunkissed terrazzo either :(

Camby and Jim Godfrey come to mind. Dave Partington. Some of us are just a little behind!

I have terrazzo hets. ultramel blood and ultramel het blood (both het terrazzo)

I am hopeing to breed these next year :) (both are from Daryl and Jim)

I have a bunch of 100% het terrazzos. In 3 or 4 years, I'll be breeding them. Their possible hets are interesting; I just don't remember them right now. Thanks Dave!

This was my pair of Terrazzos, who are now at Sean's (VMSherp). Sean also has some hatchlings from this pair if you would like to see some hatchling pics.

Spare TZ stuff I have.

2.2 classics, 100% het Terrazzo, Coral Ghost
2.1 classics, 100% het Candycane, Terrazzo
4.0 Terrazzo, 100% het Caramel
0.2 Terrazzo, the original 2

Kinda busy feeding hatchlings n stuff to take pics right now.

I need to clarify a misake I did. :(

Its the lavas that i got from Daryl and Jim that are het terrezzo! not the ultra couple.

Sorry for that. I really need to check my paper work before making comments like that! again sorry for the confusion.

I've got two terrazzos and a bunch of het terrazzo opals!
I like the morph, personally.

I like it too, I just haven't done anything with my pair yet. Zoey is out on a breeding loan with Jarrett and Troy. She had hatchlings last year but I couldn't even tell you what! I think she has different plans for 2013...Some grand project Jarrett is cooking up.

Yep!!! We are working on a few different projects right now. Should have some very cool stuff in the next couple of years. ;)

AFAIK, I have 2 original w/c females. The rest died when bred too small (300 gr). They are small slender bodied snakes. By outcrossing to bigger bodied varieties, they become bigger thru outcrossing. Eggs are small. F1 from w/c hatchlings are around 5-6 inches. Total pita. seem to prefer anolis hatchlings over anolis scented. But then you're into those tiny rosy hatelings n stuff like that, so they'd probably suit you.

Lava Terrazzo

Here's a picture of my 2012 female lava terrazzo. I also have a 2011 male lava terrazzo, but he just ate so I don't want to stress him out with a photo shoot.

Yes, they seem to have more problems laying/handling eggs. My terrazzo girl is the *only* snake I had become egg bound this year.

I asirated the first stuck egg but she had another 3 or 4 of the same size that also became stuck; then took her to the vet. I found an extremely good vet that specializes in unusual snakes and REALLY enjoys it.
He took a long time analyzing her and he had a theory that, due to the climate where these snakes originate:
That they are going to be used to temperatures that are much warmer. Even to the degree of which would kill a normal corn originating from farther North. He also felt that due to the diet they would normally have in the keys/extreme southern Florida, she would have access to a much higher calcium intake than mice or rats could provide.
He recommended taking her home, cranking up the heat for her specifically and giving her a calcium supplement.
It worked! Two calcium supplements added into her food and a higher heat and she spit out her eggs and was no worse for wear.
I think he's got a point that these guys have evolved a bit different than the *normal* corns.

This year we produced one clutch that is het for terrazzo, hypo A, and cinder. A second clutch contains terrazzo, salmon snow, and charcoal. The normals show a lot of red from the salmon. Curious to see the tessera/terrazzo combo. Next year I plan on pairing terrazzo with buttermint. We got one from Walter this year. I like it!
