So how do you like your tea?

Guess I forgot to mention that I don't really do my tea any "specific" way other than proper brewing. Not a fan of adding things to beverages. If I want something else, I should be drinking something else.

Chai, green chai...yep, big fan of chai. Our local supermarket makes a really nice blend in their Marketplace line. Lightly sweetened, no milk.

I also love peppermint chamomile and cinnamon (okay, not true tea but infusions).

My guilty pleasure is Starbucks Chai frappuccino (non-fat, no-whip) with a bit of cinnamon sprinkled on top.

my standards are loose genmaicha (green tea with roasted rice in it) to focus and rooibos chai for when i feel icky. sometimes black and herbal blends for energy.

TAZO Earl Grey is by far my favorite
TAZO "Awake" is my next favorite

For an upset stomach or if I eat a really rich meal, I like a simple Moroccan mint tea.

I never learned to drink coffee and don't even own a coffee maker. But I really enjoy a hot tea first thing in the morning!

I love Red Rose tea, my mum used to buy it for the little figurines, but it's darn tasty too!
............
cherry blossom green tea, and that is amazing too!

those little Wade porcelain figurines, some of them bring good money now. Cherry blossom sounds wonderful.

I grow some Moroccan tea plant bushes, forgot to mention those earlier. PM me if I should propagate some. Scraggly little shrub.

I am usually on a tight budget with groceries, so Bigelow is often what I end up with.

As far as hot tea goes, I love a good chai prepared in the traditional Indian recipes with sugar and milk. Another hot tea favorite is English breakfast blends.

Iced tea is the drink that I always, always have on hand! My favorite is a simple green tea sweetened with local raw wildflower honey.

Occasionally, I get to spoil myself with some chrysanthemum tea that my dad brings home from his business trips to China. I usually only put a drop or two of honey in a cup of this because the flavor is so delicate and is easily masked.

All this talk of tea has me wanting to start a Whats your favorite locality/roast of coffee... sadly will probably just get a bunch of "Folgers" :(

As with my post regarding brands and such of tea that I'm limited to, I generally don't go for expensive coffees. The Sam's Club in the city has some really nice fair-trade blends, actually!

I find that the preparation makes more of a difference than brand. I have a French press and it just makes an excellent cup.

I can definitely understand that, but more important than preparation is definitely locality, processing, and roasting. A french press of Folgers is gonna taste a lot different than a french press of some well roasted fresh ground Ethiopian Yirgacheffe which in turn actually tastes a bit different than a good Ethiopian Harar due to the processing differences of the beans. And even given the same beans, flavor can be fouled by poor roasting techniques (ie, just about any mass produced/marketed company. Yeah, I'm lookin at you foulbucks!). Naturally I use Ethiopians as my example because A. I LOVE THEM!!!! and B. Yirgacheffe and Harar actually differ in processing procedure. Yirgacheffe is wet processed, while Harar is dry processed, so Ethiopians are a prime example of how different very similar beans can end up based solely on processing method.

Twining's Earl Grey tea, milk no sugar. And it has to be Twining's - every other brand I've tried is much harsher and more bitter.

Ogosh >.> Yeah I always wanted to try different locality coffee blends, but it's just too harsh on my stomach to justify the price.

I'm going to have to go through and see if any of my little Wade figurines are worth anything! I gave all of my doubles to a friend when we were kids, so I'm sure I don't have anything of value anymore.

Well, we do typically drink Folger's or Maxwell House as every-day coffee, but we get coffee beans from our local store (same Marketplace branding as the tea I like) to grind for special occasions. I prefer a dark, robust roast that's not too bitter.

And I have a mad love for flavored coffee...hazelnut and French Vanilla. And pumpkin spice during the fall.

I drink both coffee and tea. I like tea both iced and hot.

This is my latest discovery. I'm trying to really cut back on sugar- this tea is EXCELLENT!! Trader Joe's sells it. I didn't know there was such a thing as microbrewery tea.

Bigelow Constant Comment is my favorite grocery store type hot tea. I used to make fun of my grandmother for drinking it, and called it Constant Cough-Up, but then as an adult I tried it. Yum.

I like sweet tea (no lemon!!), and half and half, and Arnold Palmers, (have to try it with limeade now!!) and just cold ice tea with a fresh mint leaf.

I used to drink all the Celestial Seasonings teas. My favorites were Morning Thunder, Sleepytime, Mandarine Orange Spice. I used to have a book about all the different properties of herbal teas, and had a huge collection of them. Packed away somewhere now...
