This is our new female we just bought, Chromie. Got a great deal on her..need help with identifying her! She looks like she is stripe with VP. Seems her stripe fades into saddles and then the saddles fades..it's so weird but cool!

yeah I just read about the strip having no belly pattern...cube stripe?? hmm never heard of that ...guess I have to research

are they rare or uncommon? I have been looking to see how much they go for and cannot find anything

I bought my amel cube stripe het caramel for $70 as a baby I think. There are quite few cubies around.

The cube, sunspot (our Avatar), and vanishing pattern (VP) patterns are a selectively bred version of the stripe morph - the presence of the stripe and motley patterns will remove the belly checkers. They are actually not that uncommon. We have several pictures of the various stripe mophs on our website if you want to check them out.

Thank you...we have never seen one before I have googled Cube/sunspot corn snakes and nothing comes up on how much they go for. We plan on breeding her with our Butter and also will be breeding our female Bloodred with the Butter. Could you say how much you sell yours for if you do sell them?

The best thing to do is to attend a Reptile Expo in your area and scout out the market. Don't know how far away you are from Baton Rouge but there is a Repticon show coming up there soon and we have been in the past - remember, the corn snakes are starting to hatch so in the next few months you should be able to get a better idea at what the pricing market is like this year. It really depends on the genetics behind the snake. The more hets it has or the rarer/newer the morph is, the higher the price is going to be (ex. a normal het for amel and anery is going to be cheaper than a normal het for amel anery caramel stripe, etc). The corn snake market has dropped drastically in the past couple of years for basic morphs - our region pricing and market is going to be different from your area. Before breeding it is important to get a good grasp on the genetics that your snakes have and what the outcomes are - otherwise you are just going to get a bunch of normals with hets. Good research is the key - expand your library. The corn snake morph guide is available in a digital version - we highly recommend it. When we started we made sure we had a good grasp on the morphs and the genetics behind them before we even put 2 snakes together.

This is a good read:http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126082

We went to the fall show one year and it had lots of corns. The earlier one in the year has lots of lizards, frogs, and ball pythons. You can always view the vendor list on Repticon's site - we purchased 2 very nice adult corn snakes at the last Baton Rouge show - we liked it. No problem on the help that is what we are all here for - we asked for lots of advice when we started out as well.

There is also a really nice show here in AL - Birmingham has a Dixie Reptile Show monthly and Repticon will also be doing one in Birmingham in August. We vend at this show a couple of times a year along with several others on this forum.
