My right to bear arms is under fire right now.

And today the new 15rd magazine ban and universal background checks went in effect for CO. Hope everyone here is well armed come martial law time ;)

I know exactly how, Outcast, feels. As a soldier that has served in Iraq 4 times I also have PTSD. It sucks fighting for our rights only to have them taken away from us by politicians that have armed guards around them 24/7. I love this great country of ours, but something needs to be done about this before it goes too far. Write your congressman/woman and tell them as a registered voter how you feel. What's next? Who's to say they start banning the breeding and owning of snakes. I'm telling you contact them and put a stop to this. They are punishing the many for the acts of the few.

That was a truly awesome video. I know exactly how he feels. Punishing the many for the acts of a few is not how problems are solved. It says a lot when a law enforcement officer is standing up fighting for our right to own and carry fire arms when he is someone that puts his life in danger everyday. Contact you congress men/women and tell them how you feel. Write letters, make phone calls, whatever you have to do and make yourself heard. Like him I have pulled my friends and brothers/sisters in arms out of blown up and shot up vehicles. I have been shot in the head and chest (thank God for helmets and body armor) fighting for this country. Don't let someone that may have never spent a single second fighting for the rights this country was founded on take those rights away because they are afraid.

WOW! Very powerful, well said / written, and heartfelt - from somebody with the experience to be able to say what he said!

Thanks for posting!

Haven't you heard, firearms are evil and must be stopped! :dgrin:

Yeah I heard and everyday I live in fear that one of my guns is just going to hop out of the safe or worse out of my purse and go on a shooting rampage and kill my entire family.

Maybe somebody else will make an app to show "gun free" houses and businesses, so that everyone (including criminals) will know where they can go to be "safe" from guns?

This reminds me of a time a few years ago that an anti exotic pet Florida newspaper (around Orlando, I think) decided to publish the addresses of all exotic animal license holders in the state, so that neighbors can "protect" themselves from that horrible danger.

It's always nice to do anything you can to create problems for those who hold differing opinions, lol! (sarcasm!).

Actually, that's a good point Kathy. You wouldn't even need to go that far because, by default - them pointing out who has guns consequently shows who *doesn't* have them as well!!!
I'm sure this app won't last long at all, when people's houses start being broken into.

It seems that an app such as this would be very flawed in the many cities and states that do not require any kind of permit for guns. Then you could only find out who bought guns from a gun dealer. Those who bought from private parties, or who may have been given, or inherited, some, will not be listed. Of course, if the anti gun people have their way, that "loophole" will be closed so that there will be much better public records for endeavors such as this app.

But at least the possibility of unregistered guns at a property listed as gun free will keep criminals on their toes a little bit, lol!

Yeah but it appears that your neighbors can turn you in. So if you neighbor knows you have a gun or a friend then your information can get posted as well.

This was going around FB yesterday, quite painfully true!
