Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

My right to bear arms is under fire right now.

Actually everyone should read the US Constitution and Amendments every now and again. I'll be surprised if many people don't read the list of our rights and think "Huh? THAT is a right? I never would have guessed it."

The government has grown way out of bounds concerning what the Constitution and Amendments allows it. The problem is that the people who we have entrusted to support and defend US are failing at their jobs and become part of the problem themselves. And it is really the Constitution's fault, push come to shove. What remedies exist to us for when a government composed of (supposedly) our representatives goes rogue and becomes corrupted beyond self repair? How can WE correct this problem? Apparently there are only two options: (1) Take more care (presuming the election system is fair) in who gets elected into office, or (2) take back the country via force.

Personally, I don't see either option as being realistic. After all, who is it that controls the election process? And who is it that tells us what weapons we can and cannot have compared to what THEY have?

Wait a second... ADD is compensatable as a disability? Shoot, they diagnosed me with it when I was a kid and I was given Ritalin, it zombified me, and then my father took me off from it because he wanted me to be a child again, and not a mindless robot.

My favorite line:
The White House said the U.S. has approved 250,000 of those guns to be reimported since 2005; under the new policy, only museums and a few other entities like the government will be eligible to reimport military-grade firearms.

Yeah... Do as we SAY, not as we DO...... :poke:

And meanwhile while we work to preserve Second Amendment rights our Fourth Amendment rights are slipping away.

I literally go INSANE every time a "no refusal" weekend comes along...:smash:

How can I possibly be compelled to provide a blood sample against my will? How does that not urinate all over the 4th Amendment, as well as Texas statutes which prohibit that very act explicitly? Not to mention my 5th Amendment right not to cooperate in my own incrimination. Neither the 4th nor 5th Amendments even provide for warrants - they only prohibit the rights of governments. GRRRR...

Yeah, right... Like someone who refuses to a breath analyzer is going to hold still to have blood drawn from them. Are they actually trying to provoke shootouts along the highways?

And I got news for people. Many people driving while on a cell phone will look exactly like an alcohol or drug impaired driver to an observer. So the erratic driving alone will put you into the "probable cause" category.

If they can't change the constitution then why not just indoctrinate it out of our youth ... :headbang:

Yep. Saw that the other day.

How much do you guys want to bet that they will start going after Veterans again, now that the DC shooting happened?

I'm a science teacher, and what they have done to curriculum in that subject is just as bad. The dumbing down continues apace...

There's a saying "New York, New York, if I can make it here, I can make it anywhere.

Well the anti-gun people look at Texas the same way. It's the toughest place to try to get any anti gun laws in place, so they try hard here.

I have only read the first two pages of this thread, I plan on reading them all but right now the battery on this Android is about to go critical.

Gotta love the well defined terms ... "unusual amounts" "large amounts" :headbang:

LOL! I guess that makes me a "terrorist"........... Of course, I guess anyone coming around here with the intent of stealing my property or doing harm likely WILL feel pretty terrorized when they see the business end of a gun pointed at them.

That reminds me, I put the .50 Beowulf away last time we went out of town and I need to put that next to the bed again. Talk about TERROR!
