just wondering if anyone has ordered a hognose from these guys off www.reptilecollective.com just wondering if they send out an email or anything letting you know when your order is being shipped? i figured since i placed it late friday afternoon it wont ship until monday and arrive tuesday i just need to know because i already took tomorrow off from work just in case. I looked on the website they dont have a phone number on the page so i sent them a message on facebook but i haven't heard from anyone yet

They say they provide "unlimited support via email and Facebook". I would assume they'd email you prior to shipping your snake, altho elsewhere it states an order is shipped when payment in full (including shipping cost) is made. I'd email/message them again.

the payment was made in full when i placed the order on friday the website even shows payment status paid, then the fulfillment status which im sure is the shipping status is saying unfulfilled. im sure im just getting my self worried over nothing just because this is the first time i ever purchased a reptile online and i just wanna be here when fedex arrives. Im just gonna wait a little while longer if i dont hear from them in another hour or two ill try sending an email on the site instead of facebook maybe they could tell me if they know when it will be shiipped

They also are the owners of http://sandboamorphs.com/ and have been busy vending shows and what not. They have quite a few snakes and are quite busy but I am sure they will get back to you promptly. I "like" both pages on FB, wouldn't hurt to send a message there I wouldn't think. Not to mention I think some breeders wait until almost the last minute to ship 'em out so they aren't sitting around the FedEx building/etc all day.

my main concern was i needed to let my boss at work know if i was still gonna need tomorrow off or if i needed to change it to another day. i just got a response back from envy they said they are having technical difficulties and are trying to track down all online orders. great :awcrap:

ok so i found out the issue. i talked to someone yesterday saying that the hog i ordered was out of stock and there was some kinda glitch that left the ad for that hog on the web still. so ok no big deal i asked if they had any similar hognoses for the same price he could send me he told me he/or she would get back to be later on after 7pm central which is 8pm for me eastern time so i waited didnt get a message until 11:45pm my time 10:45pm his time to get a txt from them saying the are completely out of hognoses and wont have any for a month. im am not happy at all :realhot:

What are you looking for? Just FYI, if you are new to them, I would only get an established feeding baby. Can't stress that enough.

What morph were you trying to purchase?

And it's always MUCH SAFER to have the snake sent HOLD AT LOCATION to the closest FedEx that does that. Usually the hub. If you search at FedEx, you put in your zip code, then apply Filter, choose Staffed location, then choose Additional Services and select Hold package at location for pick up AND Ship dangerous goods (snakes aren't classified as dangerous goods, but that always finds a location that will allow reptiles). Additionally, World Service Centers almost always accept reptiles. But I ALWAYS stop in and ask if they do (ask a manager) or have 1-800-Go Fed Ex call the location to verify it.

And don't forget to check the Board of Inquiry before buying any reptile. There is a sticky in the New Members section about how and why to do so.

i was looking for normal het albino. I know they can be a pain ive been reading alot about there feeding problems and solutions like scenting with tuna, chicken, toads etc..

Well that's a bummer. My little guy is normal het albino and quite the brat. Are there any shows coming up near you? Will they refund your payment?

Yes there is.........

I see your in Mass. The Manchester NH. Expo is coming up on April 19th.
There usually is a Hognose breeder there. I bought a normal het for albino from him a while ago. He's doing fantastic. Eats FT mice like a pig.
I can't remember their name but their in New England or an adjoining state.

I have some normals het albino from last year, but I don't see why hets would matter unless you plan on breeding.

yes there is one in my area on may 18 i will check them out. i was planning on breeding them later down the line when they were big enough male 60+grams female 300 +
