Has anyone every bought from Rodentpro.com

I was bored and did a comparison. Please keep in mind this was completely unbias as i currently dont order F/T online.

RodentPro

100 Lg Pinkies = .16 each/ $16.00
UPS Ground = $35.00
Total= $51.60
Feeder Info- 2.5 to 3 grams/ 1 inch
-------------------------------------
The Mouse Factory

100 Lg Pinkies = .20 each/ $20.00
Fed Ex Next Day Air = $24.00
Total= $44.00
Feeder Info- 3.5 grams/ 1.5 inches
--------------------------------------

On an extra note, Rodent Pro only offers 100qt bags, while The mouse Factory has 50. However, The mouse Factory does charge .25 each for Lg Pinkies for a quantity under

cont.

100.

Rodent pro does have a size that does match very closely to TMF's Lg. Pinkies; "Peach fuzzies". These are 3.10 to 4.40 grams and 1 to 1.25 inches. The cost on this size category is .19 each or $19.00 for a bag of 100.

Another thing to keep in mind is i didnt go into quantity discounts as RP's pricing starts at 500, though from what they have on they're page Sizes of mice can be ordered in any combination to qualify for the quantity discounts

Hope this helps. ^_^

I've used RP for 2 fairly large orders. All of the mice were white. They did have a few turds stuck to them and when I thawed them, they smell strongly of urine. The snakes eat without hesitation after the mice are washed in warm water. I have noticed that the hoppers are the same size as the fuzzies, some are even skinnier than the fuzzies once their hair is wet.

So my replacement from Rodentpro got delayed in shipping an extra day. They called to let me know, and said it should still be frozen solid when it arrives tomorrow, but that if it's not they'd replace again.

I tried Rodent Pro twice. The first time I was less than satisfied. So I tried them again and had all the same problems (half the order was thawed out upon arrival, and in a bag of "fuzzies" I had a range of size from pinkies up to adult mice.)

I've switched to Big Cheese and have been 100% satisfied. I would try The Mouse Factory as I've heard nothing but rave reviews form them, but BC is local for me so I can save on shipping, and get my order right away. Nice large mice that are clean and vaccum sealed. You can't beat that!

Other people swear by RP, but I won't go near their mice with a 10 ft stick. Just MHO.

OK, my mice arrived from Rodentpro yesterday, they were delayed a day in transit and still came completely frozen, which is kind of impressive..
These are white mice (XL) and fuzzies..
They look fine, like many have noted, the poo content is a little more than anyone likes to see in their freezer, lol, and this (and the yellowish tinge on the XL's who are white this time) makes me think these will need to be thawed in running water to keep the room from smelling like I've got an active mouse cage in the room..
The fuzzies are not small hoppers this time and so I have no complaints with them.
I do wish they were all vaccuum sealed though, as it will take me some time to go through them..

Overall though, they are a free replacement, so I'm quite happy with the customer service at Rodentpro, and I give them props there. I still will be using TMF in the future though- for the cleanliness, vaccuum packed convenience, and one day delivery.

(If this whole post seems redundant, it's because I promised the guy at RP that I would honestly report here my experience with them.)

By the way, does anyone know of a good home vaccuum sealer solution?

Another option. Reynolds (the aluminum foil people) just put out a hand held vaccuum sealer called the 'Handi-Vac'. Cost about $10 and uses resalable bags. The bags come in 2 sizes, quart and gallon. I just got one, but have yet to use it. I will let you know how it works for me.

We've got a food saver...works great for people food. :)

Once I'm dealing with mouscicles I'm planning on getting vacuum seal canisters and layering the mice on wax paper. It will be a bit of work to set up but this way I can re vacuum-seal the mice after each use so they'll keep better. Since I'm only going to have one and *possibly* two snakes its going to take a while to go through a bag of pinkies. And freezer-burnt pinkies sound :puke01:
