AB+...and like some have stated, I donate every time they show up to work which is about every 10 weeks :)

For AB+ only making up about 3% of the population, we sure do seem to have a lot on this board. HHHMMM...perhaps a cause and effect relationship between blood type and snake ownership????

Regards,
Steve

<bio major rant>

Actually, you can't infer causation. ;)

It might be a correlation between the two, but I demand more data.

</bio major rant>

I donated today in honor of this thread. That makes 2.75 gallons total for me, so far.

Jenni,

Yoooooou're the Bio Major at U of I ;) Perhaps this could be a thesis project for you in the future.

Heck, I'm just a computer science geek :)

Regards,
Steve

A+ Started donating back in high school and it was the only "A+" I got.

S0... who's gonna start a poll for shoe size?

Touche, Steve. (Please excuse the lack of accents, I'm not sure how to make them)

Allow me to put this in your language: If the values of f(x) and F(x) are identical on the closed interval [-5,5], we still can not presume that f(x)=F(x).

And no, math is not my best subject.

NOW you're talking ;)

P.S. I really liked Bio...but not enough to take it in college, sorry :(

No idea what my blood type is. Never been in a hospital for any illness or anything. I was even born at home under the care of a midwife.

Never given blood, never been vaccinated, and I've never gotten a tetanus shot.

I guess that makes me a weird one... :shrugs:

I'm O-
I always feel bad - I wouldn't mind donating blood but they won't let me because I don't weigh enough. :(

Well, I was thinking we could start a blood bank for transfusions for the unfortunate peeps who got teh sanke bytes.

regards,
jazz

Like me! Did you see how much blood I lost Saturday??

(Still trying to boost Jake's ego...)

O-neg here too...but I also can't donate, I lived in Europe as a kid in the 80s and they won't let us donate anymore because of madcow! My dad was up to his 10 gallon pin...it broke his heart when he couldn't donate anymore.

Wow... what a strange topic to pull out of the blue...

I'm O- of course, and my mother always blamed my father for the negative bit because she said it had a bad influence on my attitude. I just don't see it though.

Jenn

If there is a massive bleed out jazz, anybody with O+ can feel safe...I just donated last tuesday lol. cool idea for a thread btw!

Hey, why not? Who knows when there'll be some massive bleed out here on the forums....:shrugs:

AB+ here.

regards,
jazz

If you you should have a wafarin (sp?) related clotting problem, and you find no one between there and CA, I got your back Jazz.

AB+ here as well.

Then again I can't ever seem to donate. From recent tattoos to time overseas, my blood is never good enough. Maybe that's why they took my blood in basic training before I'd been anywhere.
Anybody know if that "been to Iraq" disqualification ever expires? I would donate..

It doesn't. My sister got the "sorry, but..." quite recently.

That's random, but mine's B+ :)

Wow... what a strange topic to pull out of the blue...

It's no more arbitrary a poll than my internet connection, if girls outnumber boys, or what I should name my new snake; that was kinda the point. ;)

Warfarin, named after the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation. I'll make a cheesehead outta you yet, Tom. :grin01:

And actually, my rat poison days are ending; my blood levels are good enough that my doc said I could roll off of the prescription....once I quit smoking. (And how's that working out on your side?)

But nonetheless, I appreciate your covering me.

regards,
jazz

Jenni,

How's your blood type/snake ownership study coming along ;)

Regards,
Steve

I'm still collecting data. I think I need to start another poll. :grin01:
