I feel SO stupid.

Are we there yet?
Some of my snakes are in those cheap little plastic vivs until I get my rack. I just checked in on one, and realized I left the stupid little plastic trapdoor open on accident. It was just up a tiny bit, but apparently it's enough. No snake.

This sucks. :uzi: :headbang:

I was going to hit the pool and swim laps, but I guess I'll clean my room instead. :(

Yup...I just found my female greyband king the other day from a very similar situation. I didn't properly latch the top on her rubbermaid.

It happens. Don't beat yourself up over it.

Good luck finding your snake!!

Well, I just finished a preliminary check of my room. No luck. I set up two pinky traps, and two extra UTHs with hides on top of them. I figure Spencer and Zeke (established adult/subadult) can go without extra heat for a couple days if it means finding my little boy.

Other than that, I'm just grumpy. I want a sandwich.

Thanks for the cheerful words, everyone.

May I just say, it is an extremely humbling experience to look at my apartment through the eyes of a young cornsnake.

I wish you the best of luck in finding your little one. We've all been in your shoes, and if someone hasn't yet...they will be some day. Some I've found rapidly, others much later (and I mean weeks to almost 2 months, and some I've never found. I just hope that perhaps some have been able to survive in the wild, as this is wild corn country.

Much, luck! Sorry you didn't find it on the first look. Of course don't give up, you will find it. I think I looked for 2 months before I found Niblet.

I've had snakes pop those open on their own, so maybe you didn't leave it open. If someone is silly enough to use those cages fgor snakes, they need to be made into something suitable for snakes: seal those plastic fliptops DOWN securely. Yeah, I lost a snake that way myself, too.........THAT'S why I sound like I'm grumbling about MYSELF in this post.....lol.

I lost a normal female double het for ghost from one of those back when ghosts were over $200/each......IF you could find one for sale.....lol.

Any luck so far?

Nope. :(

On the other hand, I know the cat hasn't gotten him. She would've left him as a present. I guess no news is marginally better news?

I'm starting to accept that I might have to shop for a replacement.

I lost one of mine at the weekend .. I found it a few hours later in a pain killer box under my computer desk.
