I can't believe it!

I couldn't wrap my head around how small she was until I saw her in size reference with the fuzzy.

How can you see her with all the condensation in the tub? Do you have a special viewing area that gets wiped down?

..I think I finally discovered what I want to put in the 30 gal I have laying around! Cept... a glass tank probably wouldn't be the best for holding humidity and water without molding. Ah well, even if I can't use my 30gal and end up buying a completely different enclosure I still want one!

How long did you have the tub up and running before she arrived?

For vents I have two holes about 2.5 in in diameter cut out with 0.5mm mesh glued on the outside (ill get pictures if you want). I just look in those and see her easily :) I also just spary her through them so I don't need to take the lid off and freak her out.

I had her tub running for over a month, measuring the temperatures in every nook and cranny just to make sure the ambient was perfect. It's 83.5 at the hottest part, and 76 at the coolest. Chondros don't like it that warm.

You should deffinatley get one!

She's groegous(with capital G!) Elle!!!

your so lucky...i'd love to hav GTP but alas can't afford one yet and don't have the stuff to properly house one.

Congrats Elle!!

Thank you :) Just save up and it will be sooo worth it when you can get a chondro of your own :)

Siren gets her first skoosh!

Oh, she's fantastic, Elle!!

I fell in love with GTPs when I visited MegF, and guess what--I gave in at Daytona and am waiting shipment of my Biak next week--WHOOO!!! She's CB, green, so hopefully not nippy. I'd love to see more pics of your setup!

Oh fantastic news! I LOVE the look of biaks, but their temprement does put me off. I have a feeling wee Siren shall be a puppy dawg chondro. For such a young thing shes already so sweet and docile.

I shall get some shots of her whole setup in the morning when shes not in prowly mood lol.

Congrats Elle! She is simply divine! If we lived in a real house, somewhere where it wasn't quite so dry, I'd love to have me one or two just like her! I fully expect photo updates after each shed so I can live vicariously through them. Seeing as how it will probably be years before I have my own! =)

;)

I have got one for sale, 500 pound, adult male, nice blues, eats a large mouse.

Want pics, could Pm them to you...

Oh its friendly aswell.

Again, YOU don't have one for sale. And I would never buy from anyone under the age of 18.

I have one chondro I am perfectly happy with for now. Perhaps in a year or so I may get another...

I like that last pic. with the drops on her nose :)

Your house would probably be too hot for a chondro aswell, they need it under 90.

You should deffinatley consider trying to modify a room in your house to accomodate an army of chondros though! LOL

I'm sorry Elle but he does have one for sale........And why you wouldn't buy a snake from a reputable seller I don't know..... After all Steve L does business with him as well as Angi and I know you know both of them, as they are very respected in the UK and they don't have a problem.....And in a year or so he will still probably do business with you.... Sorry to get on your case but there are more GTP in the world than your one......

Mike, I don't give a monkeys you know what who knows Joel. The fact is I (ME) do not ever wish to do business with him. I don't like him, I have no respect for him.

The chondro is not his personal animal to sell. Perhaps hes selling it for a friend or whatever, but that is not the issue. The fact is my chondro is fabulous, and I adore her. And she IS the only one in MY world!

If you have nothing nice to say about Siren, get oot ma thread :noevil:

Pictures would be delightful! The more the merrier. I was thinking of making a plastic or plexiglass front opening door type thing for my 30 gal and stand it vertical. Perhaps I could line it with something that holds humidity better than glass.

Pretty much all of yesterday I engrossed myself in the world of Chondros. I found a few forums but I'm not sure quite yet which I want to register on. Which do you prefer? Do you know what forum MegF is a part of?

I showed my boyfriend a few pictures and he seemed pretty excited. He even asked if we could name the possible future snake "Dragon". After a short discussion we came to the agreement of "Smaug."

500 pound,

Hefty boy. Exactly what kind of enclosure does one keep a 226,796.19 gram snake in?:p

Elle I am not going to argue with you over this, but I will not stand by and watch a character assassination.... Joel is known over here and respected by people who count in the game...... Yes you have a very nice GTP , but chondro is an old school word and if you were my age I could forgive you for using it.... But your not.... It's Morelia....
And I'm off your thread....... Answer me in PM......

It's easy to see where Joel gets his mahoosive ego from...

It's hardly character assisnation to say publically that I do not like and respect someone. Thats me being honest and civil. I could say MUCH worse about him...

I don't know what game you think you are playing, but I'm not playing any game. People don't matter to me, whether they are Bob Clark or Kevin @ NERD.

You and Joel have BOUGHT snakes from the likes of Angi and Steve L. Whooopdedoooo! You feel priviledged because someone took your money and gave you a snake?

And I need no forgivness to call my CHONDRO a chondro. Thats what she is. It's a common term used by keeprs of all ages. I am fully aware of the "old skool" scientific classification of this species, and I am fully aware that they are now Morelia Viridis.

Get off your high horse that is stuck in the 80's...
