Lily's New Bin, Covered Eaters

Nanci

Alien Lover
Here's a pic of Lily disappearing into her new bin after dinner. She's up to 90g now. She's moving into the rack to make way in her 10 gallon for the new baby.

And here are the four tail-rattlers that have to be covered to eat. Clockwise: Jasper, Pepper, Ruby, and Calli. I accidentally interrupted Cali with the mouse halfway down- I covered her up quickly, but I don't know if she ate or puked it out.

Jasper graduated to weanlings today. He's 154g. At one point, Pepper and Lily were nearly caught up to Jasper, but he got on hoppers first, and then just took off. Interestingly, he is also supplemented with Nutribac since he regurged in January, and he also has very slit mice, compared to slightly slit mice. I wonder how he got to be 65g bigger, when they were within ten grams before!

I'm guessing the cork bark is the stuff off to the right in the picture? Does that help with shedding, or is it just decorative?

P.S. I'm using some of your pictures to help for inspiration when I set up my racks tomorrow :D

I have a few snakes that don't like being bothered while they eat as well... Lily's new bin looks nice and cozy, I'm sure she will be happy... :)

I like the colors of the plants you have in there with her! Looks like Lily is making herself at home already!

It's about an inch thick, but very light. They love to coil up under it! It's very natural compared to a hollow hide with lots of room in it. Big Scout has a piece leaned up against the back wall of his bin, like a tent, sort of. He's so huge it's hard to find a hide for him. He likes that, though.

Very Lovely Bin....
You did a great job making her home look great and function well..Congrats!..
I can't wait 'till my babies get bigger so I can move them into bigger, better homes..
Thanks for the spark in inspiration!

Aww Lily's not a little baby anymore.....but she's getting more beautiful every time I see her, not that we can see much of her this time ;)

I love those vines/leaves you have in her bin, I've been looking for something similar over here, without success so far, but I'll keep looking because they just look so pretty :)

What a beautiful envirnment Lily has to grow up in!

That settles it, when I die I want to come back as one of Nanci's snakes....what a life! :)

I've got to take a picture so you can see the whole thing, not just the middle. She's got a hide in the back left corner, and I'm still watching out for another hide. She might like a hammock- she's out a lot, but always concealed by vines.
