Well this Reptile Store I go to a lot... has this BEAUTIFUL Blood Red Rat Snake. And I have been eyeballing it for a cpl months! I just love it! He is roughly 5yrs old.. and the most Sweet Snake! The owner is not quite sure why he is still there. I just love him! lol I have gone tonight and last night to hold him. And I can't stop thinking about him.

Now, they have him priced at like 150 dollars. But last night the guy told me he would drop it to 110.. cause he has been there a while. Now, would that be a good deal? Or, since I am going to the Expo in Tpa this weekend.. do you think I will find a better deal on the same morph?
 
On 49th? That is where we go when we need live feeders. I think they do a great job with their reptiles, but their prices are definately pet store prices. You can normally find better prices at expos.
 
Yea, we get the feeders for the two snakes there too :) The people are soo Friendly. Yea, they are expensive.. But, I feel I could trust them over most Chains.. that's for sure! Then if you go in there, You may see the Bloodred I love :)
 
Yeah I would wait til the Tampa show you all are talking about going to. You will be amazed at all the beautiful snakes there. You also will probably leave with more than one. I have been to 3 shows. The first I came home with 3 snakes, the next 11 snakes, and the last 9 snakes, one hatchling rack, a temp gun, and a ranco thermostat. Gotta love the shows and the prices. Oh one more thing about shows.... They always find a site (atleast here in NC) that has a atm outside the door. LOL
 
No doubt the show will have some amazing and wonderful snakes. But, and I say this from experience, while at the show you will compare them all to the one you want. Then you will decide not to buy any thing at the show and to go buy the other one and it will be gone. Then you will kick your self for a while because you didn't act on it sooner. I'd say go get it and don't regret it later. There are going to be more shows and they almost always sell the same stuff from the same dealers. I like to think that if you buy the one your heart tells you to buy, you wont regret it down the road. :)
 
Or you could just not delay the inevitable, and buy the bloodred you love, and also buy a new love at the show!
 
LMAO! Yea, Only thing is.. trying to find space for a Bigger Cage for the Older snake I want. :-/ I already have a empty 10g.. Ugh.. And today.. I get to take my husband Kitten to the vet.. he isn't doing well. :-/ So, I have a feeling I wont have the fund for the Bloodred I want. :( I Keep hinting to him to help me.. But it isn't getting through to him LOL! And the deal is.. "If you want that pet.. you pay for it yourself" Type of thing. That's how I got my leo's LOL! So, yea.. We shall see. :-( I Am gonna see how much a 20L is at the show ..if I Can get one cheap enough. I Can put the Bloodred on "Layaway" So, If I don't see anything there.. I can try to work it out for the Blood I want :)
 
Somehow it's always possible to find more space. I watched my boy Rio slither around a 5.5 at the local herp store for months before I finally bought him for $110. Could I have gotten a snake similar to him for less cost at an expo? Probably. Would it have been Rio? Probably not. I say go for it, if you have the money for snake and additional housing, heat and food!
 
Yea, I can take care of a snake. :) I feed all 3 leos, 2 dogs a foster dog and a kitten :) Whats one more mouth ;) LOL!!

My Bday isnt till Sept. :-/ And our Anniversary just passed in Jan. I will work it out if I can.. if not, then it wasn't ment to be.. that is what I tell myself LOL!
But, I can tell you this.. all I wanna do is go back to the store today to hold him again LOL!
 
I will just outright ask him.. LOL So If I get a tank for cheap.. I can repay him... in a cpl weeks LOL! :) MAYBE that will work.. I wish I got a Pic of him to show you guys! ugh!
 
In my house I have the firm belief that whats mine is mine and whats his is mine so typically I just tell him what I'm getting. LOL Just kidding, sort of. :grin01:
 
LOL that's funny! Well, if I had a job, that would be Much easier :) But he is the bread Maker. I Just get to keep the Rent from the Roomie as my money :) *Had 2 surgerys over the past few yrs which left me home bound through it And now cant find a dang job* :-/
