No, it's a very labor intense job, heavy lifting, up and down scafolding, ladders stuff like that. Not a very good job for a female, not saying a female couldn't do it, but I wouldn't want to put my wife through what I do.

Hell, I'm not crazy about doing it..................LOL

Is it something your boss would allow you to hire a temp to help you do until he's able to do hisself?

Sometimes he would do that. See what it is, he has his little business, but has NO employees, meaning myself (and if he brings in another hand depending on the job) are sub-contracted to do the work along with him............so actually I'm considered, when filling taxes, self employed.

Walter I am sorry to hear what you & your family are going through. I hope things turn around real soon and good things come your way.
 
That really sucks Walter... I know all about being self-employed. I would go visit your friend at the bike place. Put that airbrush to work.. It seems to me that you have some skills there. ;) I have been doing odd jobs myself.
 
I feel you Walter.. After my better half got herself hurt 6 yrs ago, we have struggled since.. Still trying to pay off bills that came about from her injuries.. I just wish I had an umbrella..

That's aweful. I'm so sorry. :( I really hope things get better for you. I can relate to the pseudo-self-employed thing and the spouse/partner/etc losing a job. It's a bad combo :(

I know what'cha mean Tim, because it seems that after Katrina got us, the sturggle has been slowly snowballing the last couple years.
I don't know man. It just seems I've been having a dark cloud follow me around for a while and just can't seem to get it to break.....:shrugs:

Good luck! I really think things will start looking up, just keep up hope. It's a very tough world for alot of people nowadays, but eventually prosperity will orbit it's way back to people like you who keep plugging away one day at a time. I hope the very best for you, and everyone else that's struggling right now.

My partner and I were flipping houses when the fit hit the shan in the housing market. Couldn't sell a one of them, bills piling up. Rather than lose the houses to the banks, we put them up for rent. Enough to pay the mortgages, insurance, and taxes, water. A couple of the tenants have hit hard times too, so on a couple of them, we're losing a few bucks a month, but not enough to hurt us, yet. My job has been cut back, it's in the education sector. Well, the pay has been cut back, but I still work the full time, just don't record all the hours- it's a non-profit but I believe in what I do. Not really sure what your occupation is. If there's a spare room I suppose it could be rented out.

If one of you is good at making something artsy, check out etsy.com
Outside of searching for a job in your region, if I can think of anything else. or this
