Nanci

Alien Lover
No, she's not mine! This little beauty shared a ride, and really belongs to Angela (RatsNCorns).

Nazla weighed in at 14.5 grams, nearly twice as big as the corn hatchlings!

Nazla is very calm and personable, but she just doesn't get what a model is supposed to do..."Why yes, that is a beautiful flower!"

I only took one shot in each setting- it's 90F out and I wanted to be out and back in in less than five minutes. Here she is with Albert Greenberg.

SHE looks awesome. I know some people say that Baird's look really "bland" when young, but come into their own as adults, BUT NAZLA is quite the beauty!

My favorite pic is of her and Tina, the water lily. Great pic!

Angela (ratsncorns), you're gonna need to have a progression pic of this one! Congrats!

LOL, I was going to say, "Nanci, if you bought a Bairdi...." I have 5 hatchlings right now, and Robbie has 5 eggs in my incubator! They really are the coolest snakes. As they were hatching we were ooooing and aaahhhing over the colors and patterns until I had to ruin it by mentioning that they won't look anything like this as adults, lol.
Twice as big as a Corn when they hatch, and their first meals are peach fuzzies....

There is my girl! YAY! I cannot wait to meet her!

thankyouthankyouthankyou :) :)

You know, as much as I love my corns, I really have a soft spot for bairds. I will be taking lots of progression pics... its amazing how much these guys change with each shed.

Sorry to be slightly off topic, but remember I mentioned your avatar before. Would be nice to see pics of that one too! LOL.

Nice Baird's! I am always amazed... we have two yearlings and they looked nothing like this when we got them. Their patterns are so variable!

Very pretty. Now I have to go google image mature ones again. Boy do some colubrids change as they mature.

Angela, you should see your little missy! She's out climbing and exploring! I'm so glad I set her up in a viv, not made her wait in a deli cup...

Yep, twice as big and probably half as old! Blue is her color!

I use mine to clean up after the non feeding corns, two pinkies each. I've never had one refuse a meal. Wish the corns were like that.

Yeah, I know, mine ate the same day they shed. They were cruising looking for a meal, lol... Oh, and they're just like the adults and love to squeeze into their little condiment cup water bowls, lol...

Nazla is very active and not shy at all! She was out when I went to bed last night and up when I got up this morning!
