I mean the people on snakebytes(Youtube and their site) Give me respect as much as the next guy!!!

That's all I'm asking, is for you to mind your own business about that I don't know what I'm doing and about permits and whatnot.

Tim, while I do agree with you... the average teen today seems to feel that respect and accolades should be heaped upon them for mere existence value. The concept of earning respect is a foreign one. :headbang:

First off, I don't think it's fair to David at all to drag his name through the mud like this, and I also think that by being so hostile towards Mr.Geese your only going to make him want to keep the snake more just to try and prove you guy's wrong. IMO, I think you should let the snake go Retarted Geese, and I would not take another one ever again. I know you think that, because it may be legal that makes it right, but it isn't. Your going about it in a poor way, and if your having trouble paying for it's welfare than that is a sign that you should not keep it anyway. I think it's important you know that by taking this snake, and any others, that you are endangering the species, and the ecosystem around it. It is it's own being and you taking it from the wild for amusement is nothing less than enslavement. I wish more people understood and cared for nature, and I would be so proud of you if you made the right decision and let it go. Don't think of it as giving in, but instead think of it as being a caring person. I, and many others, would admire you greatly for it, and that snake would be grateful to be back where it belongs; in the wild. Please consider what your doing, and have mercy on the world around you. You are merely a resident, and should take nothing but pictures, and leave nothing but footprints!!.

At one point I was HATED by this community. I do have WC animals and I will say that I enjoy my WC animals. But the two you chose are advanced snakes. Many people on the forum have WC animals but all of them know what the hell they are doing you not so much.:poke: I have a WC Black Rat snake that seems to be healthier than some of my CB animals. It has never missed a meal. always has a complete shed and never shows any signs of illness or parasites. He is a rare gem. (tonight he fed better than all my corns). But my Mole Kings are a harder animal and require many different thing to survive. This community is slowly respecting me more. Some member are Taking to me better than others. I also made the mistake of getting in over my head a bit by getting a King Rat snake. No doubt my Fave. animals BUT I spent $300 on vet bills and new caging after I got her because I WAS NOT PREPARED. And I think you need to release you WC snakes and go for a nice CB Corn snake after reading Kathy Loves book and the book by Don Soderberg is pretty good too.

You simply are not prepared for WC animals. I know a guy by the name of Scott Felzer who has great CB Water Snakes. I have had water snakes and they are about at the bottom of my book in desirable pets. I was a bit like you when I got active on this forum ask some of the more popular members here. I think that I can help you. I am 15 and am more of an advanced member in the herp community. I have some hard animals that mabye I was not ready for when I got the,. Like my herald snake! Major impluse buy! I had no friggin clue as to what the hell to do when I bought it. But now it will eat anything I put in front of it. It went after a day old quail today! It is like 18in long and around 20g. That took me a year to achieve. Please listen to these people they know what they are talking about.

Sorry, I can't really contribute to the OP. Did anyone ACTUALLY make it through reading all that hogwash in pure bold like that? If so, WHY? All bold, caps, and similar writing is almost NEVER worth the time of reading it. Geez.

Gooseman, write like an edumacated person for once, and you might start seeing people give your posts a little more credibility. I don't blame you for being the result of a public education system, but you can at least try to avoid the idiotic mistakes (like posting in all bold) in the future.
