Nice Lavenders or weird Opals?

I bought this proven breeder pair for a good price, was told they were Opals but they look like no opal corns I have ever seen. Could they be Opal + something else? or are they really nice lavenders? I'm not too concerned since whatever they are, I got a nice deal, but I am very curious as to what they are.

Thanks for your help!

From the pictures I'd say they appear to be lavenders...especially the last picture.

It is quite easy to determine if they are opal. If they are opals they will have the red/pink eyes of an amel (pupil and iris). If they are lavender they will not. Though be careful, lavenders can have ruby eyes, but they are usually distinguishable from the red/pink eye of an amel.

I'm not the best at this but it looks like a Lavender possibly with something else. Here is a picture of my old breeding pair Hypo Lavender male to a Anery Lavender Female.

Maybe this cold help you decide...

I will have to check on that when I get home- I believe they have the ruby, but not pink eyes. I also had a choice of purchasing some pure white Opals but one had a nose rub and both were considerably smaller than these two snakes.

And thanks for the help guys! It will probably be a lot easier to determine what they are once they produce some babies (hopefully this coming season if all goes well).

Definitely not opals. Could it be that they're het amel (aka het opal)? The 1st looks like it could be a hypo lav, but hard to tell by pics.

I am gonna go with hypo A lavender corn snakes. But a light colored lavender or a Opal could be on the table. breeding trials would be the best way to go.

Well after looking at some Opals I would think you have about a %10 chance of an Opal but I would say a HypoLav or really light Lavender would do it. Breeding trials are the only deffinative way you are going to get a true answer

There is a 0% chance that either, of these, are Opals.
They are both Lavenders (no need for breeding trials to determine that).
At least one (the lighter one) may be a Hypo Lavender ... and, yes, a breeding trial would be something to conclusively determine its Hypo/non-Hypo status.
Breeding trials would, also, be needed to determine any possible hets.

Yeah I guess so. I mean look at my Guyer Ghost it looks like a Phantom (Anery A X Lavender) but it is a ghost. Colors vary dramatically with every snake

i think the main thing is if it was homo amel it probably would'nt have the grey lavender colors going on.

Phantom (Anery A X Lavender)

A Phantom is a Hypo Charcoal for a start... ;)

And more to the point they look like Lavs to me but breeding trials to be sure on the hypo front.
