These were produced this year with a snow stripe het hypo blood X blood het ghost. They're eating f/t small pinkies and doing great! These are also possible het hypo, I'm holding back the hypo bloods and the ghost blood from this clutch.

Because sometimes, maybe even usually, females are more in demand. You can use a male in multiple breeding projects per year, but a female can only be used once. So you need more females. So sometimes people will only sell females in a pair, to make sure they aren't stuck with a whole bunch of extra males.

That seems strange to me, because Don S.'s site had males for more than females. I figured they were in higher demand or something, and figured it might be because females can end up being male, but males are nearly always male.

You probably only looked at the tessera price as the other 2 morphs where he actually has a separate price for each sex, the males are less expensive than the females. And the reason tessera males are more expensive is because that gene is a co-dominant gene, which means each male can breed multiple females and produce tessera offspring in each of those clutches. However, a female tessera can only produce one, maybe two clutches in a year, so your total number of tessera offspring will be much less.
