Hypo ashy / cinder boy

Snakes in designer genes
This little guy is wonderful, and I think he deserves a thread of his own :) He was first out of the egg in our keys clutch this year, and I'm thankful he came out first rather than making us wait to see if we got the 1 in 16 shot at all!

Completely not what I imagined (I thought the hypo ashy would be much darker), and still exactly what I wanted. I love pale animals with dark eyes, and my little dude fits that bill perfectly. I can't wait to see what he looks like this time next year!

Wow. I wonder how his looks will change as he matures. Can't wait either!
This is kinda my pet project so it's great to see what I have to look forward to :)

This beautiful boy is lighter, than I would have expected, too.
Congrats, on this young'un and the rest of the Cinder babies!

Woowwwie, looks a very much like a hypo lavender.. Progression pics are a must... Nice to collect in favour of the odds isn't it.. Congrats for staving off Murphy..

Regards.. Tim of T and J

Ooh, he's interesting! I LOVE amel cinders. I also can't wait to see him in six months!!

Just speculating but I am imagining how spectacular it will look if it develops the burgundy/maroon shades of adult cinders without any of the black. I will be watching like a hawk for progression shots ;)
Are you aware of any other hypo cinders that are older than this baby with photos available to look at? I tried the search and found one thread by Rich Z

but only with baby pics (his looked a little darker)... Problem is it finds all threads with both hypo and cinder mentioned.

Congrats! He looks awesome, can't wait to see how he changes! This is one of my favorite imagined morphs, too. Not what I would've expected either, but very interesting nonetheless..

Toyah, why didn't you breed your own keys het hypo cinder boy to your female? Why share this fabulous snake LOL.

WOW!!! I would give you lots of bow-down smilies, but they won't work for me right now.

Yeah, he does look like a pale hypo lavender - he actually also reminds me of my hypo pewter girl as a hatchling too. Hopefully once that adult pigment comes in it'll change a bit.

Yeah - remember how pale the amel cinder was as a baby? I wouldn't have recognised him as an adult ... wonder if the change in this guy will be as dramatic?

I don't think Rich posted any other photos of his as an adult ... he mentioned one didn't make it, but no new pictures (maybe we need to bug him some more?).

Thank you. I will definitely post more photos as he grows.

Elle - hasn't quoted your last post for some reason.

Unfortunately my male het hypo cinder, Angus, escaped earlier in the year, and Nige kindly offered to loan me his male, Angus's brother to make this clutch possible. I still hope my Angus will turn up as I miss him, he's a wonderful snake. But I think it's a testament to just what a friendly, helpful, and amazing snake community we have in the UK that someone I barely knew, without hesitation offered to send me such a special animal just to help me out.

I've said it before and I'll say it again ... thanks Nige (cornmorphs!). You're one in a million

Nige certainly is one in a million, kudos to him for the breeding loan, and HUGE congrats to you on the results!

Poor Angus. I hope he turns up. Of course, Nige will not go without reaping the benefits of this clutch aswell :p

I haven't really like too many cinder snakes I've seen but this one is stunning. I really want to see this one as an adult!

Definitely - this clutch wouldn't be here without his help so it would be unfair not to let him have a few of the babies :)

Oh wow, very nice.. Yet another reason I need to add cinder to my gene pool...

That is a great hatchling. I love the pale color and the red and black eyes, very neat.

Thanks guys. Doesn't it make you excited to see what other genes do when combined with cinder? I can't wait to see the caramel cinder ...

Wow! Another amazing little one! Did you name him (did I miss it?)? I'm really interested in how he grows too. He's beautiful!
