Or JJ as I call him...lol. This is my male '09 miami keeper. Both parents are Huddleston miamis. (All my miami's have children's song related names). I have to get pics of my female holdback - Susannah - still.

Holy crap, Katie!!! Amazing color on him. Gorgeous baby, I see why he was a keeper!

Funny thing is - right out of the egg - before he even shed and I could see his great color - I knew he was going to be a keeper 'cuz his head pattern was soooo different then everyone else's.

His head IS really interesting! I love how it connects at the 'top' and has the little freckles. :)

Of course, it ended up being a huge bonus that he actually turned out to be the prettiest male in the clutch too!

What are your plans with him?

Not sure yet - I have his sister who looks just about as nice as he does - so I could breed them to each other down the road - or I have some non-related females also from Huddleston lines... Both he and Susannah are also possible het amel (I had candy canes in their clutch).

Awesome!! I'd love to get my hands on a baby from that pairing. Just put me on the list now... ;)

Are you repeating that breeding this year? Great, I have that song stuck in my head now. I need to go listen to a Sunstate commercial!

He sure is gorgeous, Katie!!

He's gorgeous!!!!!!!!
He's very handsome! I've always liked the miami's!
He is just spectacular!
What a handsome boy!
Thanks very much!!!

Never thought that name went with someone attractive . . . JJ works, though, as he is very cute!
Great, I have that song stuck in my head now
You see - I had this pair of keeper miami's and I needed to stick with my theme and was stuck coming up with another boys name from a children's song.... I went to a reptile show with Nanci and out of the blue some guy at one of the tables was singing this song and it stuck! All my miami's with children's song names - every time I take one out I start singing or humming to myself (Alouette, Jacques, Clementine, Casey <from Casey at the bat>, Dinah...)

And Nanci - not sure yet if I am doing the same pairing or not this year. This pair was from Casey and Legacy. Not sure if I want to breed Legacy again this year or not. She was the one that slugged out for Carol and then for Joe. I gave her a year off before last year and she produced a beautiful clutch. Haven't decided if I want to give her a year off again and breed next year - or take the chance that she won't slug out this year from breeding two years in a row.

WOW! How gorgeous! I'm starting to fall in love with some of those Miamis! I want to see what they look like as adults a little but more, though.
