It's Jager time!
Till our royal pair arrive. Both are unrelated from Bob @ sitonasnake.com
Male is from normal x pastel parents, female is from a spider x normal clutch so theres no hets worth seaking of ;)

Debating on names already, I like Windsor for the male and Amelie for the little misses.

female is the top picture, our male is the biggest one on the far left. Of course I will post my own pretty pictures once they come home with me :)

Cool! I hope they eat... ;)

They have been feeding for the past few weeks on rat pinks and pups... No silly mooses for this pair :) Should make things much easier in the future.

well she was from a spider x normal pairing... I think she would pass as reduced pattern and high gold. I like her :)

Spider is codominant (as is Pastel). The reduced pattern & white creeping up the sides (seen below) are markings of a Spider.

Tula has a couple of nice normals.

Aye I was about to clear that up! They are both indeed normals. The female is just a little brighter than most normals.

There are no hets involved either really... Normal x spider + normal x pastel = less than a 33% het chance?

Both spider and pastel are codominant in royals, so they can't be carried like most corn morphs are. A snake has to visually be a spider or a pastel to pass that gene on to its offspring.

They do look lovely Tula - beautiful snakes :) I think one day I'll have to have another royal!

Royal genes are overly messed up! LOL
Im happy with them :) Less than a week now me thinks!

Yes corn genetics seems much easier to me :) They look stunning in the photos, I think the normal royals tend to be nicer than the morphs ... personal preference I know.

Can't wait to see more pictures when you get them (in the meantime you should post more hognose pictures to keep me in hoggie pics until I get my own at the end of the month!)
